Yeah that’s why I feel the BATIM devs are somewhat higher than Poppy and Banban. When they released new chapters, they’d edit the previous chapters to make them slightly better. Is chapter one still physically impossible to die to? Yes. But they made the ink machine look cool so I ain’t complaining.

The amount of polygons in a single item is insane. Like the fact that the remote you have to carry throughout the entire game has possibly more polygons than a fully produced video game (e.g. mario 64) is worrying.

Same actually. I used to have a lot of nightmares as a kid where these different giant creatures would slowly creep towards me. That just makes selene feel more nostalgic to me tho than anything else

Indeed. She's even eerier than PJ Pugapiller - at least in the way she's presented. Imagine looking down a hall as a large enity with a hauntingly wide grin slowly undulates towards you. For the record, gastropods do have poor vision. They can only sense light, meaning Selene can only detect what lighting can make out - rushing to the light alteration she notices when the protagonist moves. Would it shock anyone that she's my favorite?

The lore has potential but istg if the Devs don't look up how a genome actually works I'm gonna lose it. Memories and personality are not stored in genes, and while it's refreshing to see it be portrayed as not just "souls of xyz" they could at least not try and explain the living mascots with something that is scientifically proven to be the opposite of the case

Honestly since gameplay is where they seem to be lacking, they could've probably rebranded it as a web series of shorts like happy tree friends just with an actual plot lol from most ppls crtiques they actually ARE intrigued by the story, so I think if they decided to focus on that where they clearly shine most then this could've really taken off. Not tryin to kill anyones game development dreams, just saying sometimes its better to focus on your strengths. So like DM said, instead of putting so much emphasis on the gameplay try putting more on the actual story, make every puzzle open up a new piece of lore instead of just going straight to the next area/monster, that way it'll feel more like you get an actual pay off to doin those puzzles instead of you just being stalled for run time.

Notes in Banban 2 spell it out blatantly, Opila Bird is non-aggressive towards children, she's only aggressive towards adults, and even other monsters in the facility.
