In regards to the chocolate milk story I have a Major Problem with the Dungeon Master Allowing this person to Roll when he should absolutely know that OP was a Minor, and Only putting a stop to it after OP had said that they would leave the game I’d Hate to imagine what would have happened if OP didn’t have the courage to speak up and the villain managed to roll a Nat 20….

reverse the roles of a male character forcing a girl's character to do certain things and the second any of that came up, everyone in the group is yelling at the guy. people, stop trying to force your nutjob fantasies onto others

That last story reminds me of how I've heard a couple of DMs set rules of "whoever gets the killing blow gets bonus experience" or much worse "only the player who gets the killing blow gets *any* experience", so say goodbye to cooperation, buffing your teammates, sharing equipment, game balance, and allies healing eachother during combat. Now powergaming and murderhoboing is the only way to play.

The DM in the voodoo story I think was just trying to troll the other players and cheekily give his normal PC loot. I am glad the normal DM forced him to make a new character because of that. Stealing the gear of a fifteenth level party and forcing them into a no win scenario (I believe they had no way to kill that fiend despite the DM's protests), that's not cool. Apparently the DM did not consider how much his "brilliant plan" would piss off his other players.

The voodoo doll idea isn't terrible, I the Hands of an experienced DM. Trying to oppose person who can force movement is an interesting premise, but not if the DM just does it for no reason.

I agree, and personally implemented a thing similar. My party woke up on a ship with a weird skull shaped necklace with inlaid Gems in the eye sockets. It also had 3 sharp teeth dangle if from the bottom. The person who did this was a magically inclined pirate captain, who loved to screw with people he took captive. The necklace would kill them instantly if the tried to run away or remove them. So the caption had the party fulfill an old debt to an NPC. The NPC would then disenchant the necklaces after a few levels and they would fight the pirate as a boss. The necklace was meant to be a LOOMING threat, not a railroad.

The "Bonus Experience" from striking the final blow. Could be done fairly, if say certain enemies could only be eliminated by certain characters and adjusted experience so every player character was about equal. But "Murderhobos" do need to be punished!

I feel like the voodoo idea could work (im new to dnd and hoping to play my first full campaign) like the person who makes the voodoo dolls could control the players into their bidding but they still do have control of their own characters just at points like not wanting to kill a person they are forced too but the whole plot could be them finding a way to get rid of the voodoo dolls and during the fight they can only control one player at a time only having one hand to do so, hence needing to strategize either that im mind

I ask player of juggy choco milk lady, "You stick this into the mouth of a carnivorous reptile who would eat the corpse of an ally on the rationale of Lizardfolk logic? Are you SURE you want to do this?" My next words if this persists is, "Since it's already in my mouth, and it's clearly unexpected, with DM's permission I'll call this an autocrit as i proceed to bite the breast that was forced into my mouth, as if trying to eat it. .... First story: If I’d been a player at that table, as soon as the DM declared that the shaman took control of my character, I would have stood up, said “I don’t need to be here for this,” and walked away. Controlling their character is the one thing players are supposed to do. If they can’t do that, they aren’t really playing; the DM is just telling them a story. Second story: Okay, that was already creepy as fuck, but the fact that she was doing this to a LITERAL CHILD makes it so much worse. I’m glad OP made it out of there okay and found a better group to play with! Third story: Oh, for the love of…! This asshole has completely missed the point of what it means to be a DM. The DM and the players are supposed to tell a story together, and while the DM plays the role of the antagonists, they aren’t supposed to just crush the players, they’re supposed to give them a challenge to overcome. I’ve given my players difficult fights and dangerous traps and puzzles that they’ve struggled with. I recently killed a player character in a particularly rough combat. However, even as I visit my brutality on the party, I’m celebrating with them when they eventually succeed. I didn’t lose to the players; I won because in the end, we’re on the same team. I gave them challenges, hardships, and losses, and they gave me heroes who struggle through and pull out a win in spite of it all. Together, we created a good story, and that’s what D&D is all about. I hate that there are so many DMs who can’t see that. Fourth story: Different people play in different ways. It sounds like OP’s playstyle just didn’t fit with the rest of the group, so leaving was the right choice. I don’t know what OP’s friend’s problem is.

@@foisopracurtir6389 buddy, I watched dozens of these videos, and I admit, some of these stories are true "horror stories" with some absolute unhinged weirdos that I would probably fist fight on the spot, especially where real people are hurt, touched, stalked, etc. But come on, people upset over their FICTIONAL characters in a FICTIONAL world, meaning not real and don't exist in any way, shape or form, to the point they panic and need a safe space?
