It must be hard to focus on chess while talking. But one of the great things about this channel is that you are open to the possibility that you have made mistakes. It's nice to see a teacher who is willing to review his games and look for mistakes (and sometimes find them). Most teachers over 2000 either don't make mistakes or don't mention them, so it's nice to find a teacher who is more "human" in that sense.

Really enjoying the channel, Jonas, and learning a lot! FYI, the rating climb vids will get easier and smoother as time goes on, finding the right balance of good moves, commentary and time management. Don't worry about the length of videos. If you strive for quality, the viewers will come and your subscribers will grow.

Yes I still struggle with commentary and time management but it's improving. Thank you! 🙏

Came here to say this surely the queen sacrifice is much better than the queen trade.

I prefer my knight on c3 to have some coverage on d5, but in some lines it would indeed be better off on d2 instead. Interesting system, and I'm intrigued by the results people are reporting. Do the principles apply just as much to gambits? Thanks if you see this, Jonas.
@Pegasus-Chess8 сағат бұрын
I personally don't play gambits as I like solid chess. When you're trying to play solid chess and your opponent plays a gambit there's usually a way to steer the game to a more simple/solid structure if you don't fully accept the gambit and are prepare to give back the pawn you won.

Why didn't you take the Black Queen with the rook instead of your Queen?
@Pegasus-Chess22 сағат бұрын
That's also possible, both moves are equally strong.
@Mark8v29Күн бұрын
So far I have been pushing the e pawn (Colle system) regardless of what black does so as not to disrupt the queen side pawn structure and even though the engine tells me its better to push the c pawn from c3 to c4. My entire strategy being as you have recommended to keep the pawn structure unchanged during the middle game so it's ready to facilitate a pawn promotion in the end game. Am I correct as a beginner or should I also do c3 to c4 if attacked in the opening/early middle game on the queen side? I've had 3 wins in a row in my ongoing match with the computer that now leads by only 20.5 to 18.5. I hope to soon equalise the score!
