Apologizing for our history is one thing, removing things that tell us that history because it's wrong or offensive is not something I agree with. If you don't learn from history it's guaranteed to repeat itself. If you can't learn about the history, then you can't learn from it. Yes, I agree that slavery was awful and we should be ashamed of it, but I don't think it's ok to hide or remove the true history.
