We got rid of a pacifier at around 6 months old🎉 (and looking back I would not give it at all). Using a pacifier slowly decreases mother’s milk supply because baby is not suckling on the breast (whether for feeding or comfort). I know it first hand. When they are on the breast, they stimulate the hormone oxitocyn and that helps with milk production. So our daughter is over a one year old now, breastfed and without a paci.
@CareAboutLittleOnes Жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, thanks a lot for sharing your experiences with us! 😊 Actually, science-wise, there is no evidence that pacifiers decrease a mother's milk supply. Oxytocin levels are only secondary factors that affect milk supply. First and foremost, it is important that your baby is able to remove milk from your breast. In other words: you can have extremely high oxytocin levels 24/7, but if your baby is not able to remove the milk (for whatever reason), your milk supply WILL decrease - pacifier or not. We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

@CareAboutLittleOnes Жыл бұрын
@@amr6202 Oh, so, do we understand it right that you are worried that you will have a premature baby because your baby turned head down? If so, you really don't need to worry! 😊 There are babies who turn head down even earlier, like week 24. This does not mean at all that you will go into labor anytime soon! So, all good! This is nothing that should worry you! 😊

@CareAboutLittleOnes Жыл бұрын
Hi there 😘, have you already talked to a doctor about this? This is really the first thing you should do because maybe there are medical reasons why your baby does not gain weight! If there are no medical reasons, you can try the following treatment: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4irh2B3d9Skb5Y But again, the first thing to do is talk to a pediatrician! Thank you! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

My baby’s birth weight is 2.5 as well. But lost 11% his weight in first 5 days which was a little above normal rate. We saw a pediatrician but they just told me to give him top-ups. Then I attended breastfeeding classes and got to know by them my baby have tongue tie. And did a small procedure to cut it. He weighed 4+ kgs on his 10th week. I highly suggest you to check if your baby have tongue tie. I hope this helps.

@@ayeshahabib4865 Okay. This can explain a lot... We had several cases like this. Interestingly, some colicky babies eat a lot, probably because breastfeeding helps to calm them. And others refuse to eat, probably because of the pain. In all those cases, the first thing we had to do was help them with the colic pain. Otherwise, the feeding situation would not improve.... This can be a challenge though because colic in babies cannot only be caused by several different problems. It normally also requires strong treatments to help them. We did post a video on how to treat colic in babies on our channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ_SgZuKZqysopI We would try it twice a day, IDEALLY not when your baby is crying... We know that can be a challenge... Please start with that first and then report back how it goes.... And yes, good idea by Navya: do check if a tongue tie could be the problem! We really hope this helps! ❤

Hi.. my baby’s birth weight is 2.69 kg, on her 19th day, she was 2.99. I was breastfeeding her and also was giving the formula. Recently I started expressing the milk to the bottle and then feed from that to know how much I’m giving her. Today she is 25 days old. Even I give the 30ml of milk she used to cry and sucks her hand and seems like trying to find the breast to suck. Now I’m giving the 40ml of milk. And 40ml of formula (for the next feeding time). But still she is doing the same!!! My major doubt is -Is that ok to give that much formula milk for my baby as per her current age?? Thank you
@CareAboutLittleOnes Жыл бұрын
Hi there 😘, babies can have formula milk basically from day one, yes! However, can we ask you: is there a particular reason why you give her formula milk? Are you worried that your baby does not receive enough milk?
@itzagirl7559 Жыл бұрын
Yes, she used to cry a lot like she didn’t get anything. She don’t even sleep. And when I started expressing the milk, I noticed that I could only feed her for once, for the next time I have nothing!! She also makes bubbles with saliva at times, ( even when she is sleeping)does that also meant hunger ?

@@CareAboutLittleOnes great! is a small unbiblical germinate at 8 weeks old something to be concerned about and what is the exact cause of this if you know? Thank you for all your advice and videos they are super helpful!
@CareAboutLittleOnes Жыл бұрын
@@cre9690 Hi there! 😊 Umbilical hernias are quite common in infants (particularly among African American children). Basically, the problem is that there is a tiny "hole" where the umbilical cord connected your baby to your placenta. Normally, that hole closes soon after birth. But sometimes, it can take longer which is when an umbilical hernia can push through that hole. That means that either part of the bowels or fatty tissue push through the hole and cause that phenomenon. In the majority of all cases, this is completely harmless. Normally, we would expect this to disappear all by itself (this can often take up to two years). In rare cases, it can cause problems, particularly when the hole does not close. However, it can take years before it becomes a problem. Therefore, in order to check for infections and other problems, we do recommend that you regularly consult with your doctor about how it develops. But again, in most cases, there is absolutely no reason to worry... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤
