Not far from you in Ontario. Mine was in similar condition when I got it. Cleaned up the rust as best I could, spray it with rust reformer and the woolwax. Messy to work on but highly recommend it 👍

First? First. Just did my oil change on my 4Runner a week ago. Only broke one skid plate bolt. Need to upgrade to a different skid with a oil filter access panel

Thanks for spinning on a Toyota OEM filter on this video 👍. The oil change on your Taco with the Crappy Tire oil filter was a little cringe worthy .. 😳 . Ontario Taco owner with the 4.0. I still pre lube the Toyota filter with some oil as I find them tough to unscrew by hand come oil change time without it. I always only hand tighten as well.

Fumoto valves for the win. I have a jeep jk but i love 4urnners also. Hopefully in the future i can get a 4runner to compliment the JK. Im picky with oil and filters for mine (3.8l minivan engine 😊) so liqui moly or motul 5w40 and a wix filter for me.

This certianly, me personally I'll also get a needle scaler and woolwax undercoat gun with a nozzle. Clean off all the that loose stuff and spray inside and outside the frame, then your all good... Ontario 4runners mainly tho only lol

All filters do the same thing, I used wix, k&n. I’ll try a genuine Toyota filter next. My guess it just filters the oil better but who knows

Love my 4th gen V8 4runner 4x4…. HATE the bonehead skid plate that has to come off to get to the oil filter. Solution…. Remove skid plate. It’s made out of tin metal anyways lol

When you say you don’t need a tool to change a filter you’ve never worked on a low access engine lol. I always use on but only give a 1/8 or 1/4 turn never had an issue.

@@CanadianGearhead yeah, but does it say to use conventional oil? I don’t have a single mechanic friend that doesn’t use full synthetic on anything newer than a mid 90s. Amazon full synthetic is cheaper than mobile one and it’s proven to be better than mobile one.
