Another great video. I use cauliflower rice in place of rice when eating with my Asian wife and her family 😉

I sometimes think the hardest thing for me, is that I'm a very picky eater. I don't like most meats, won't touch seafood of any type with a 10 foot pole. I love things like nuts & seeds. I love eggs, cheese/other dairy, fruits & veggies. Of course, peas, corn, potatoes, cukes & tomatoes are among my favorites. I'm always trying to find good recipes, but it's always a challenge.

It sounds like you have a clear sense of what you enjoy, which is great! Being a picky eater can make meal planning a bit challenging, but it’s awesome that you’re trying to find recipes that fit your preferences. Focusing on the foods you love, like nuts, seeds, fruits, and veggies, is a solid approach. Maybe experimenting with different ways to prepare your favorites-like roasting, seasoning, or adding different herbs-could help keep things interesting. If anyone has recipe ideas or tips for picky eaters, feel free to share! You’re definitely not alone in this journey! 😊

Thank you for the reply, Doctor. I do eat very little of these whole grains--red rice, brown rice and sourdough bread--because they taste awful anyway! My health provider knows. She insists on some medications being retained until I reach a steady blood glucose level. But I need to also think of my nerves due to neuropathy in one leg, for which I have to refer to a neurologist 🙃

Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s understandable to avoid foods that don’t taste good to you. It’s great that you’re in touch with your health provider about your medications and glucose levels. And addressing neuropathy is important too-seeing a neurologist is a good step. If you have any questions or need more tips, feel free to reach out!

I eat a green apple daily and strawberries with Greek yogurt. I eat cherry tomatoes with red onions and green onions and spinach with a scrambled egg in all the veggies. My snack is popcorn in which I cook in a pot and I sprinkle season on it

@@SugarMDs I make cottage cheese snack. I use parchment paper and spray it . I use a tub of cottage cheese that is 16 oz. I sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on it and bake it at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. It’s a great snack. I also make Parmesan cheese veggies. I use parchment paper and spray it . I sprinkle the Parmesan cheese all over the paper. I place broccoli or mushrooms on top and pour more cheese on top of veggies and cook it at 400 degrees 40 minutes

Good evening doctor. Avoiding all carbs listed by you, but what about brown rice, red rice and wholewheat sourdough bread?
@SugarMDs
@SugarMDs Ай бұрын
When it comes to brown rice, red rice, and whole wheat sourdough bread, they are generally healthier options due to their higher fiber content compared to refined carbs like white rice or regular bread. However, moderation is key as these foods still impact blood sugar. It's best to monitor how they affect your levels and adjust portions accordingly. Whole grains can be part of a balanced diet, but always consult with your healthcare provider to ensure it aligns with your specific dietary needs.

Very crisp and crunchy is what I often crave. No raw carots, celery, apples, or toasted nuts, all if which don't digest well. 😢

@@SugarMDs I do have an RDN, a GI doctor, and an internist. They are helpful but often stumped by my issues. Simply- prepared meat is one of the few foods that don't cause unpleasant reactions, but a carnivore diet is so limiting.
