I'm shocked that Wes thinks that drug dealing is respectable SMH!. He has no idea the amount of people that are killed, abused and trafficked because of drug dealing. It does makes you a bad person and definitely shows a lack of character and lack of value/respect for other people.

I depends how you look at things if you look at the actually act itself, you can argue it’s victimless, in a sense. If you expand like you did then you see all the harm it does. But where it’s gets interesting is can we not say the same for what goes into making smart phones, clothes(sweat shop), etc etc There’s a deeper conversation to be had here. Fraud though especially towards individuals I don’t get his argument. Theft is theft.

We rate the guys that steal from big companies and institutions but despise robbers that break into homes and steal from old ladies. Why? I think we look at it from a lense of could this happen to me or not. Most of us don't own 9 figure financial institutions so could care less about a bank being robbed of a few million £. But most of us have grandparents, have venerable family members so the thought of someone breaking into their homes and stealing from them triggers that emotional response.

Hmm I believe rehabilitation back to society is key. The steps taken to that are even more crucial. Releasing any prisoner of any category without a granular rehabilitation program is dangerous. Please do not take rehab for just “preventing them from doing the crime again”. It’s more than that it’s about preparing them for society at large. Moreover giving them a platform to not only stand but excel. so they can’t do anything but walk an alternative path upon release.

Lastly I will like to say it’s difficult but we must try to do the right thing imho. “Circular reasoning” does not paint the most colourful picture of us. Qualifying arguments based on someone else’s poor decision makes us a band of losers with no leader. A lot of us are embarking on the journey of life only realising in our 30s,40’s & 50’s all we ever wanted was peace. Peace is on the side of righteousness. Living right - and not becoming like the enemy you hate in the midst of this thing we call life. That’s called integrity. May God help us all.

Fraud is not consensual and has a victim, even if it is mostly the insurance companies in the end.. Drug dealing it is pretty debatable if there is a victim - there is harm, but who is taking drugs thinking it's healthy? Nobody, they know it will fuck them up. I like that people are free enough to fuck themselves over in so many ways.

If you can invest 25K GBP per year for 10 years and leave it to compound in the stock market you will become a millionaire in time. But as you guys have said - with the cost of living who can afford to have anything leftover to invest? You need to be a couple with no kids.
