Hermitcraft Season 8 starting in Minecraft 1.17, the Caves and Cliffs Update has arrived.
Doc is on a frantic mission to create a brand new reload stable Wither cage. Would could possible go wrong. To relax, he teams meets up with Ren again to have some bbq. Then they go to raid a gigantic underground vault together with PearlescentMoon and GeminiTay.

@docm77 Your gonna make a obsidian farm by braking the obsidian from naturally generated portals through withers, which ar the only thing that can drop obsidian items except players Most probably sending an entity from a nether portal through the nether to the over world and the buttons are to prevent the portal from generating at the wrong place, the wither will brake the portals and that's why you have a item collection system underneath.

Doc was deep in thought and not a lot of help and didn't get the loot he asked for but I don't think that would irritate Ren. He can easily kill a wither.

Tweakaroo with its freecam is such a good tool for recording stuff you normally don't reach in survival. Go behind walls to show Redstone etc. It does so much more though...

I doubt Doc will use the placement tools… yet. Freecam literally is an equivalent to the camera tools Xisuma and some other Hermits have been testing, so I assume Doc expected it to be acceptable.

This episode was a real rollercoaster, going from goofs at the barbecue to having my mind boggled by the combination of Hermatrix shenanigans and a bizarre wither cage I still only kinda half-understand, and then I felt silly on finding out what the next book letter was since my guess from the last one was SUPER wrong. Then the tension ramped up like mad with what felt like the Minecraft equivalent of a Keter-class SCP breach, and somehow you managed to wrap it all up with an inspirational little speech worthy of a motivational poster? The episode may have gone all over the place this time, but I loved every moment of it.
