Mafexs arent meant to just stand there over poseability which is pretty incredible , might have a bit to do w/ the proportions which look great in poses . I was very disappointed w/ the detailing on mine because it wasnt complete and I had to finish it myself . I think you would really like the Symbiote Spidey , the buck will be more to your liking and its actually the mcfarlane sculpt . this is not the Mcfarlane Sculpt bruv but close to it . If you ever get a chance DEF check the Steel and Cyborg superman . They are the best mafex's I have ever had like the jim lee and Claremont Xmen

It has a clenar paint compared to the classic legends where you could see the paint jobs are not as clean whre they mis paint a lot of details., and for thuis spiderman the webs around spideyss costume is sculpted. and the details are better imo

the only real problems with the proportions with mafex spidey is that his head is a little too big and his hands and feet are a little too small. also the leg articulation sucks, but its not really the figure's fault, its just the way mafex engineers all of their figures.

Yeah, mafex are way too expensive for what they are really. I remember the IW dr strange which was 120ish i think? Its ridiculous, Mezco imo is worth the 100+ price due to soft goods outfits and many accessories and also light up features.

I think in the quest of trying to be balanced, you somehow lost your sense equilibrium: Your first critique immediately revoked your credibility, and tbh , Im not sure you got it back at the end... You keep saying the bottom half of the figure is pudgy. I have absolutely no idea what in the milky way you're going on about. If Spiderman legs were any skinnier, he'd be suffering from lower bottom anorexia.😂😂😂. This figure is meant for dynamic posing, and so far, I saw one half decent upsidedown perch pose. The rest aren't even basic. You need to get better at this. Also the nitpicking doesn't make your review balanced, it just makes you giving the engineering a hard time for no other reason then to be difficult (no seriously, that ankle articulation was a reach) Yea this was all over the place. You definitely have potential though.

The drop-down hinges on the hips (the ones that provide that shrugging action) on Hasbro figures are fairly useless. If a figure is built well, it should do the splits, without those. When added, a figure should be able to get in kneeling and deeper crouching position. Hasbro figures with drop-down hinges are neither capable of doing the spilts or deep crouching positions regardless of whether they have drop-down hips or not. Of course, they're also far less expensive than MAFEX. I unfortunately live on a budget, so it's Marvel Legends for me, but I did get a KO MAFEX Venom, and even the KO is very impressive. I might consider getting this real deal Spider-Man MAFEX figure. I think the proportions on him look great.

Ok first of all I’ve never owned a mafex but I did preorder scarlet spider to give it a chance, but my friend has a bunch of them and I’ve gotten to play and pose them only thing I can really say is how fragile they feel and the amount of times the wrists/feet came off was annoying I also have ML and while they aren’t the best quality some of the variants they Uh e are actually really good and make for a great pocket figures I can just take anywhere not bein afraid to drop and break it or lose a joint somewhere like they just need to keep the good molds and slightly tween them like having the diamohram joint instead of an crunch(unless an crunch looks good)AND GIVD US FEET ARTICULATION AND BUTTERFLYS ARE MUDTBHAVES

If it didn't have the webs sculpted in it would be nearly perfect imo. Indented webs are such a bummer for me as its physically dumb and makes zero sense. Also it's very innacurate to the comics as his webs are flat and printed on. Would rather they be slightly raised like the new marvel legends final swing spidey even if it's not accurate as it at least makes since physics wise and looks great still. Sculpted webbing is something that should have been left behind in the toybiz days. Like c'mon even shf did this on supaidaman when his suit is all flat. (Hasbro did that one right at least) back to the mafex figure though it's a great figure I wanna pick up for sure still even with the sculpted in webs as I can get over it cause even so I still enjoyed those old toybiz spideys as a kid. I just wish if they insist on sculpting in the webs that they would make it very shallow instead of so deep. A great example would be sentinel spidey and shf final swing spidey.
