Does the Nexplanon Birth Control Implant Cause Abnormal Bleeding

The most common reason that people do not get the Nexplanon is because they heard that is causes abnormal bleeding. This is the case for some people, but not for everyone. I had the implant four years and my cycles went like this:
*no period for one year
*period returned lighter and for less days
*period returned to regular and 28-30 day cycles that could be tracked like clockwork (still lighter periods than normal)
I understand this is not everyone's experience, but the Nexplanon worked as an amazing contraceptive for me. I think it's worth a try if you are looking for a low maintenance birth control that lasts several years.
The Nexplanon is also one of the most effective birth controls on the market (I really put it to the test using no other contraception for the entire time I was on it, and not using the pull out method).
I am curious to know what your experience was with bleeding and the Nexplanon?
I cannot be the only one who had a positive experience with the Nexplanon....
