Air Bud came out when Golden Retrievers were almost at their peak in popularity. Labrador Retrievers were the most popular breed from like 1991-2022, and Golden Retrievers were already like a top 5 breed. They were rising in popularity and were already the third most popular breed in 97, and #2 from 98-05. I don't think Air Bud had a lot to do with the rise, it was more taking advantage of something that was already trending.

Okay this was so much fun. I can't tell you how much I laughed. I watched this movie as a kid over and over and never did see the sequel! I really should lol The paper thing reminds me of my dog. She was abused by her previous owners and was terrified of paper when I first adopted her. If anything paper like was near her, she would shred it into pieces.
