I think when imprisoned, it's probably hard not to think about what you did was wrong and when they release people a lot of times they want them to be rehabilitated...so the whole idea is planted and watered in a prisoner's mind...getting out would be "change" "be better"...still surrounded by fixing or recovering. I suppose the best thing is to regroup and reevaluate instead but your head must get there first...how... Also, I guess i didnt address the victim thing but we are all victims of our minds.
