I just started the series because of Beard. I made it to Day 100 only once so far in Reign of Giants. The seasons can get brutal, but keep trying and don't give up! I've been playing for about a month. Loving the series.

It might sound dumb at first, but I find this idea pretty interesting: Spelunking Sundays! A series where our bearded overlord starts an adventure underground. Sure, not having the benefit of easy harvesting of materials brings difficulty for sure, but that's what makes it a challenge. I mean, the materials are still there. Rocks contain all sorts of loot, including gold, trees still grow, grass and twigs are still there and earthquakes bring their own benefits as well. Sanity drain is going to be an issue as well as something as simple as food, but just seeing what our bearded companion is able to come up within the caves would be quite interesting to see. (Not sure about flint. That might be a problem.) Anyways, there can be rules and as long as it feels comfortable for the player. Oh, and Beard: Keep it up! Good stuff.

Tips: -Shrooms for stats -Winona's toys for lights and arenas -Tentacle pillars for weapon drops -Bunnymen farm (with catapults) for easy food -Snurtles and logsuits for armor Necessary items that would make the challenge less absurd could be gathered from above as long as the series focuses on the caves. Heck, even the first season could be spent above the ground for some necessary resource gathering before diving into the caves for a "no turning back" experience. It would also create an interedting puzzle to be quick, efficient and make you think to yourself: "what is absolutely necessary?" The inventory and backpack space is limited, therefor limiting the amount of stuff that can and can't be brought down with ya. So there's that. IDK, it's 1am and perhaps this might bring up some sort of idea, inspiration or conversation.

Hm. That's sad, the toadstool remains to live. I could think of a few ways to resurrect: - Life giving amulets at the base, and there is light there - Setting everything near the touchstone on fire by haunting - Resurrecting until the full moon, then in the transformation running to the base
