My best friend is the son of major republican donors. He told me his mother taught him that if you can't win by following the rules, cheat. To me, that is the republican mindset. This friend has been in the Oval during the Ford administration; his parents were long-time friends, and his uncle was in the Ford administration. He met Giuliani at his mother's house. He was invited to his mother's house to meet Ben Carson, who was there to beg for money for the failed campaign of congressional candidate. It's not that they live in a bizarro world; it's that they will do anything to win, and think laws, ethics and rules are for the suckers who follow them. They expect US to be those suckers, and they identified with Trump because he is the embodiment of every moral failure, is entirely lawless and scofflaw, and he will do whatever it takes to win. These people were saying, "That's my guy!" about Trump in 2015. Let us not forget whose SCOTUS it is; it's not ours, it's his.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for the interview you did with Senator Andy Kim! Your interview with Senator Kim was the best part of this one hour, 18 minutes and 56 seconds broadcast. I found it to be positive, informative, and extremely patriotic! I, as an American citizen, need to hear more from individuals that are politically serving this country like him! There has got to be more he cannot be the only one. The people of New Jersey are blessed to have him represent them. Thank you again for broadcasting this interview.❤

I appreciate the comedic approach, as there is nothing we can do at this point, other than find a way to cope with what is happening in front of us. A disaster is unfolding, and I'm not sure how to prepare. I am responding the way I did at the beginning of the pandemic.... storing food and necessities. I'm retired and live off savings, so I am also thinking about moving funds. Scary times.

Can you guys discuss what we as "The Resistance" can actually do to resist the worst of what's to come under Trump 2.0? I know we all need to be vigilant, and stay informed while also preserving our own health as much as possible, and try to drum up interest in the midterms, but what are some concrete actions we can do, groups we can join, etc.? Absolutely love your content, and thank you so much for your insight!

call your congressman if they left and tell them to block anything he needs a vote of 60 for. and gear up in two years to take back the chambers so he can do nothing
@The_Floo_NetworkАй бұрын
@Redcrane05 I absolutely agree - logic, reason, facts and common sense clearly just didn't make enough of a difference this time around. What's crazy though is I'm not sure satire is going to be enough either. We all know how buffoonish Trump and his party are to the point where that's basically part of the brand that people are buying into. It's like if you say and do outrageous things, and if you make yourself up to look like a Dick Tracy villain, people on the right will still bend over backwards to support you - even if it's against their own self interests. So it's almost like Trump and his party are impervious to mockery and that kind of thing because people on the right either don't care about any of that, or the message just doesn't reach them (or they're unwilling to hear it). Do we just have to wait for Trump voters to experience the pain of what they actually voted for before they'll actually wake up and turn on him?

Re Jared Polis's comments: you can agree that there are many awful chemicals we need to phase out of. You can think we need to raise food standards and get Americans off junk food. And you can try to have those conversations with RFK Junior supporters, and try to get them to your side. But you cannot put RFK in charge of health and human services. As an autistic person, RFK's beliefs deeply offend me. As someone who does not want an outbreak of measles killing children, as it did after he traveled to Samoa and helped contribute to a decline in vaccinations there, RFK's beliefs horrify me. Saying "I’m excited by the news that the President-Elect will appoint RFK Jr. to HHS" is incredibly irresponsible and shortsided.

MAYBE we need to do absolutely NOTHING. Let Donald Trump SHOW America exactly what an absolute FAILURE that he is in a way most painful to the voters. Clearly, that the ONLY way they learn. Intellugence, foresight, understanding, are all things missing in the majority of the public. I learned over the decades that tou can't put tour head on someone else's shoulders, and sometimes you just need to allow them to live with consequences.

The problem with the Polis view of RFK is that I believe his view in vaccines is the most dangerous. I would love to see “big pharma” reined in, and I do believe we have a problem with childhood nutrition, but nutrition is something that could be addressed by individual parents without government intervention. If we lose government funded childhood vaccines and vaccine mandates, there is no individual option, there is no personal responsibility that can step in when the nanny state goes away.
