Dongar Dashcam Power Adapter (10 pin Type B) adapter install on Subaru Ascent

Great video! Do you know how many volts this plug can provide? I have a VIOFO A129Pro Duo dashcam. I wonder if the power from the auto-dimming mirror plug can support both the front and rear dashcams?

I would assume that it provides the standard 13.8V common in cars. The important question is how many amps are drawn by the load of the camera(s). I would ask the manufacturer of the camera. You don't want to pop the fuse. BUT, I would be surprised if they haven't thought through that bit.

@@MatthewMcDermott thank you. I reached out to VIOFO customer support and they told me the duo cameras cost is 5V/1A (they said it's the input power). So it should work I guess?

No, at least not in my car. The mirror is only powered when the accessories are on. For my camera they make a separate power kit (VIOFO HK4) that you can use for power on while parked.

I would not think so. The mirror isn’t powered without the car on.
