THAT was AWESOME and a SUPER hard challenge! I only made it to stage 6 with MOST of it being clean and something I could comprehend. By level 8 I was only maintaining 8th notes and by level 9 I was LOST, STILL, that made me REALLY appreciate how much work you put in and how much FURTHER I have to go in my drum journey! Thank you so much for the excellent content and challenging workout :D

I started working on these double stroke exercises 6 years ago. So it's been quite a long journey for me to be able to do all that but it's totally worth it. So stage 10 will be no problem by the end of the year :) and stage 15 in 2021 probably. Keep banging these out!!

I have been practicing the push/pull method for about six months now. For the life of me I cant get it above 150bpm. I'm stuck... also, it doesn't ever seem to translate into my playing.
@ArtOfDrummingHQ4 жыл бұрын
I think looking at the guys that use push pull, they probably trained for a few years before being able to use it effortlessly in their playing. My own practice of these doubles exercises took the span of about 4 years roughly. 2 years for the technique and timing, and then the last 2 years was working them into groove and fill in patterns, and then applying them to songs step by step. It takes time and you need a realistic long term plan like that. Hope it helps!

That's a good problem. Many have a louder first stroke. And when it goes fast, it becomes messy. Louder 2nd strokes will make it sound way more even when played fast
