I agree, the way he use it really open my eyes and I have the jamstik for a really long time.

I didn’t hear any glitches. It sounds like you have the tracking set up perfect. What a great demo.😊

I have the more entry level Studio version and it has been more than adequate for my needs...just FWIW. Ir's probably my favorite guitar to use with my Hydrasynth and Eurorack gear.

I'm wondering if you didn't compensate for latency in post-production.

am i able to use it to write music in a program like flat?

amazing video! will definitely convince anyone who was considering buying the Jamstik

Is there any delay? Many of these instruments have a noticeable delay that throws a player off and you need to get used to the lag. It's okayish while you play slow, but get more noticeable when playing faster. Does this thing have the same issue? Thanks

I had no idea about this until I clicked on this video but now I badly want one. Once I get better on my acoustic to justify purchase I'll be getting it. This is just so cool.

I really loved the tones of the wavetable synth arpeggiated. I'm a logic user so I wonder if there's a way to get a similar sound VST synth somewhere?

I have 2 Casio midi guitars PG380 and MG510, have Yamaha G50 single rackspace midi/guitar converter, have Roland GI-10 and GI-20 using with Roland GK pickups. The Casio guitars have 5 pin Midi and the Roland uses the proprietary 13 pin cables. I know these are older units. My question is will this Jamstok be head and shoulders better in tracking and overall dependability? If so... hmmmm.. should I sell them all and get this instead?

So.... no bending of the strings or actual chords? just individual string picking?
@mooseyard5 ай бұрын
He plays chords in some of the demos. The sensors track each string separately so they shouldn’t have trouble with chords. Some guitar synth controllers can detect bends, but I don’t know for sure about the JamStik.

Having tried an awful lot of MIDI guitar things out there, it lives or dies on the quality of the tracking. I would be interested to know how good it is on this. I have the suspicion that bar some very fancy technology there’s only so good it can get with a pickup. I suspect it’s a lot better with much more invasive note detection (e.g. built into every fret).
@jonherdman62827 ай бұрын
That’s why the RoR is built into every fret. They’re also $5,500 with a year wait list then customs fees since they come from Ireland. But they are the best of the best.

I want to see a live use of this. There too many studio highly edited videos. And too much talking. We need a compilation of live performances and demo of how to setup and change patches live. Use this in a cover band.
@2wdr59 күн бұрын
Think if you want a live setup it's far more than just the guitar. You have the cost of a laptop and daw and vsts. Only band I can think of that does something like that is pendulum. And his guitar is button based. And probably alot more expensive. From my research there is a game controller people use as a midi controller that seems to work in a similar way to the one from pendulum. My guess is they use a button based on as there can't be any ghost notes or misinterpretation. As people seem to complain about that even with bosses 800 odd synth pedal with midi pickup. Problem with electronic music is it can be a very expensive game and sometimes you don't know it doesn't work for you till you try it. What is it your aiming to do?
