These are the anti-inflammatory foods I eat every week to reduce inflammation in my body. An anti-inflammatory diet can help with reducing joint pain and arthritis, healing the gut (key if you have celiac, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's or IBS), getting rid of eczema and psoriasis, and keeping other autoimmune conditions such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis in check. It's also beneficial if you suffer from anxiety or depression.
I became well versed in wholesome, anti-inflammatory foods several years ago when I embraced a whole foods diet. After being diagnosed with four autoimmune diseases in two years I realized my body was fighting massive immune system inflammation and I needed to provide reinforcements. Those reinforcements came in the form of groceries.
Watch the video for the list of anti-inflammatory foods - it's what I eat every week. And enjoy the full blog post below all the healthy recipes on my website!

Thank you Lisa for your video! I really enjoyed and I learned something new. ❤ What is your thoughts about sellery juice mania and have you tried it yourself? I am planning to trying perhaps this summer (in northern hemisphere). For me seabuck thorne berries, ginger and tumeric has been just a pure healing power. 😍

Downshiftology I’m so glad you said this. The important thing here is to study and be aware. Example. I have type two diabetes. Due to the concentration of sugar at one time making smoothies is not the best choice to make. Instead I should stick with heating maybe a palms worth of berries whole. Is this the correct thinking?

@@rosamanno1478 Since I've been cooking with turmeric (putting it into stir-fry, curries, and making a bedtime drink called "golden milk"), I have noticed a few things: weight loss, deeper sleep, and less pain. Golden milk is made by heating up some milk (nut milk, soy milk, coconut milk, or cow milk), and then adding a couple teaspoons of turmeric, along with a bit of black pepper, and a bit of cinnamon and/or honey, if you want. This is the best bedtime drink. I hope you find turmeric to be helpful!

@@rosamanno1478 Thanks for your reply as well. I wish you good luck with your journey! Eating anti-inflammatory foods, eating only 2 meals a day (called "Intermittent Fasting") and drinking plenty of water in between, and doing an exercise that gets the heart rate up fast for only SHORT segments of time (15-20 minutes -- something like weightlifting), are all things that might help. Good luck! You can do it.

I didn't realize the shelf life of it ---- that it is kind of like yeast, losing it's 'power' if it hangs around in storage too long. I have boat loads of it that I will probably have to toss now. I WILL test it, for sure. Hopefully I won't have to dump it. I found out the hard way that Flax seed is much like nuts, and goes rancid. So, am totall grateful for this informative video. I’ve been putting off changing my diet throughout my 20’s but now with both autoimmune diseases I have no choice. I think it’s a safe bet that auto immune diseases often come in clusters (not just one) and a change in diet is a must if one wants to live a longer, less painful, and healthier life. Ouch, you waited for long. Well hopefully you'll heal. Mine came on quicker, I nearly died within a year so I had no choice but now the three pages on A4 full of symptoms are a lot better. Six years or so. I took a lot of bone broth powder or freshly made too (with organic chicken bones, grass fed organic ghee, organic coconut oil, ACV and some salt. Also the fat from chicken skin helps, beef fat too. You'll likely have inflammation affecting your brain and cells, they need protection and healing). And fasting helps, A Lot (I do intermittent sometimes and longer every few months max). I do recommend a daily salad, some nutritional yeast maybe (it depends on how you are perhaps as certain foods would mess me up and it varies), some cooked spinach could help, fish also too. The right gut flora to digest certain foods properly is essential, but how you get them and what you need now, I don't know. It's a long road, but very necessary. Just as you think you've felt the worst, you still haven't. Never have. I've experienced emotions and physical symptoms I never even thought of. Meditation could help, I used no focus tools and just went for a deep, "blank mind", meditation. Took away thought.

Thanks for creating this video, Lisa! Yes, I eat all of them except for broccoli, which somehow makes me really hungry, and chia seeds, which tend to get stuck in my gut. I have my own health issues and really make an effort to reduce inflammation. My diet is low-carb/Flexitarian. In addition to eating mostly anti-inflammatory foods, I take the supplements quercetin (with bromelain), ashwagandha, and Relora to help my body deal with stress and inflammation.

Have scientists discovered that dairy contributes to fibroid growth?? As far as I know nobody knows the reason of their growth. Many doctors stress the stress, hence hormone disbalance.

Thank you 🙏 so much for getting this information out to those of us who need it. I’ve recently received a diagnosis of AMAG (autoimmune metaplastic atrophic gastritis), along with pernicious anemia with very little guidance on what foods to eat and/or avoid. The only advice the GI doctor had was to avoid tomatoes. You have opened a door for me to get healthy. I’ve been stumbling along in the dark, but this gives me a great guide to follow. Again, thank you 🙏 PS ~ I like every food you mentioned

I find myself being overwhelmed with the time it takes to create this lifestyle. Especially having kids , grand kids , pets , school etc. self healing is a job in itself . So thank u for some tips. But I’m sitting here like “she’s Wonder Woman “! A clean kitchen , takes all the time to make these and share them with us and still have time to do everything else. How do u do it all! That’s the vid I think we need . What’s your day to day routine ? Do you ever have to tell the kids , MAMA need a break ? If so how often ? I think one main thing is having support for others while self healing . Also the cost can be the reason some have to make due with what they have . But again , you are encouraging and I’m sure I’m not alone when I say ‘ YOUR HELPING US JUSY BY LOOKING LIKE A PICTURE OF HEALTH , SMILING AND SHARING WITH US❣️
