I have been a fan for a long time and probably watched every single video you guys made so this is a step forward. You both are highly professional, fun to watch and most importantly unbiased. The value of DP Review as a company just increased. They are lucky to have you on board. Best of luck!

Please use your influence to get DPReview to use *ONE* master lens for ALL 35mm FF cameras (an Otus 85mm for instance), ONE for APS-C (an Otus 85mm for instance), and really, just ONE master lens per sensor format in general. The various lenses used by brand really screws up the consistency of the image comparisons- especially since it’s a SENSOR test. 🤢🤮 Great show guys!

I follow the hosts, not the channel. But will continue to follow TCS and the new hosts - at least for a couple of months. That said, Chris and Jordan are the talent and DP Review has more resources than TCS. My only concern is objectivity - DP Review is, after all, an Amazon company. Not a fan of Amazon - my home town of 600,000 no longer has a camera store where I can hold a camera in my hand or make a quick purchase of a filter, battery, or flash, partially due to Amazon. Prefer to buy locally. Am sure, however, that Chris and Jordan are getting a significant increase in pay. Keep faithful to objectivity guys!

Very good. Maybe throw in a quick bit of science from the DPReview guys on some of the features of new cameras. Some of us are fine with reading 10 page dissertations of how Back Side Illumination works and affects the sensor capabilities, but a quick 30 second run down of the basics would be helpful for many people. You could even have somebody at DPReview record it and edit it into the show.

1.) It's DPRers. 2.) It never ceases to amaze me that people just don't understand how folks like you thrive on being as unbiased as possible when producing a review. It's a sacred thing, to be able to produce content, whether reviews or tutorials, in which you can express your thoughts completely unrestricted. Oppositely, when someone is just flat-out pimping a product that they were given for free in exchange for review, (and that's the best-case scenario; it gets worse from there) ...then viewers can smell it from a mile away. So, kudos to you guys for scoring this gig. I'm honestly jealous! Keep up the good (and entirely unbiasned) content.

Chris Niccolls yeah...to me , the main reason to tune in to TCSTV was your bluntness..your honesty..and the fun. ;) There's no BS. And you are good at what you do. Now.., you've got to raise the bar ! This video is a good start ;). It shows!, that little bit more care (and time to be able to care, off course) and one can already see where you're aiming to improve . Cheers from Portugal . Keep those videos coming.

And suggestions?? Well...Do more run-down-comparisons in-between brands _
@MatthewSaville6 жыл бұрын
Agreed, as a product reviewer myself, the number one thing that seems to be missing from most others' reviews is a sufficient amount of "alternative options" comparisons. Most of the time, unfortunately, this is because either the reviewer simply hasn't had much experience with the full range of options, or they don't want to displease whoever "supported" the review.

This is a perfect example of a KZbin video that one should watch from start to end before forming an opinion, let alone commenting on. I'll admit, in the first minute or so of the video I was yelling at my screen "I live in Minnesota! The whole appeal of your show is how cameras perform in the real world; Northland edition!" Well of course that was the joke, and they're staying put. Not to mention their production values and real world conclusions remain the same stylistically and ideologically from TCSTV videos. Consider this a like and subscribe good sirs!

A like from me for not hiding the obviously shortcomings of the A7III. Sick of videos that just say that the A7III is a a7riii with 24mp instead of 42 and ignoring the worse screen/evf/sealing etc just because they want to get clicks on their affiliate links

@digitalclips6 жыл бұрын
Always followed you guys will continue to do so, congrats to DP for getting you both. You are by far my favorite reviewers. My first impression of this review was that you started off focusing a wee bit too much on the A7iii compared to other Sony cameras. As a Canon user with a lot invested in L lenses and I bet there are a lot of us, I am looking at this from a Canon view point ( with Metabones 5 I assume) not from a Sony user perspective. Of course I have also watched all your videos from the Camera Store so you have covered a lot of this those topics but that was pre release. I hope you can revisit the use of L lenses on this body soon. As an aside I have to wonder if an a7iv is underway with articulating screen and fully interactive LCD .... Meanwhile I bet Canon have a few hard decisions to make. Lose a massive user base or stop holding back features and go mirrorless in a full frame.
