On the contrary, it opens up room for criticism on from the audience and the fitness community. Its been around 50 days I dont eat anything after 5/5.30 PM and have my breakfast around 8 AM morning. Absolutely loving it, I am more energetic, more positive, having a good sound sleep, wake up early in morning, have energy for exercise and list goes on and on. One solution for all health related issues -- No food after sunset❤ Update on Feb2, 2023: approx 90 days, still sticking with this eating pattern. Even if you not feeling starvation, it's not good for you to fast for 18 hours.. when you are having early dinner it's ok to have breakfast at around 9:30 am-10 am. You are easily fasting for 15-16 hours. If you starve for so long it might be problem in future. Brain is the first organ which notice this, carbs is absolutely necessary for brain functioning. You'll get irritated easily etc. Telling this because I am nutrition student.

@@mangalgaikwad1080 you should calculate by the dry weight. Like for example, if you take 100 grams of uncooked rice, there'll be 28 grams of carbohydrates in that. That way you must have minimum 120 grams of carbs per day. And remember even dal(lentils), legumes etc. are not purely protein, even they have carbohydrates. So, you no need to consider just rice or flour for as your carb source, and eat too much of just rice or chapati to fulfill that 120 grams.

Awesome video! No one is an exception in the world and everybody has to face the temptation to food. Its great that some people have good genetics and get by eating / drinking anything with a good workout at the end of the day to stay healthy and fit. Sadly I am not in that category and my daughter always tells me "Mom, watch what you eat, you can never outrun a bad diet!" That is so true in my case. I love salads especially Greek Salad (all time favorite!, big bowl of Greek Salad, small Avocado toast and a small bowl of soup with tofu is a meal for me!). when I feel down because I cant have the junk food(white potatoes, high carb bread) I like, I simply walk to the "farthest" smoothie place and have a low carb high protein fruit smoothie! and that does it for me! Keep making more videos like this! I will be swayed by temptation every now and then but then watching your videos, can help to overcome temptation to unhealthy food!

Hey Dr. Pal, I appreciate your suggestions and have started implementing them for myself. It has been helping in improving quality of my life. Thanks a ton! Now, I am thinking about how can I implement it in my family. I have a two year old. The first problem with 7 pm dinner for my daughter is that she does not eat much as compared to meal at 8:30 or 9 pm. Secondly, she feels hungry if she has a lighter meal at 7. So we end up feeding her milk/oat-meal later at night just before bed (9:30 pm). So, what would dinner time/adjustments would you recommend for young kids/toddlers? Right now my family is following two lifestyles - one for adults (myself and my spouse) to have early dinner and another for my 2 year old. And I am worried that this might not last long.

Thank you doc and i request you to do some educational video about the relationship of gut with mental status. As i have read many articles related to depression, schizophrenia and other psychiatric disorders associated with our eating habits and the food we eat. So it would be useful if you do a video on that as its less spoken about diet and mental status. It would be an eye opener if you do a video on that. Thank you doc

Love your videos. It has helped many of us to be mindful of our eating habits and lifestyle. Would appreciate if you could make a video on how to have a healthy lifestyle during night shifts. People with dynamic shifts like nurses and journalists (me being one) face difficulty to avoid eating after 7 pm during night shifts which lasts for about 3-6 weeks.
