@@anamika__biswas4196 Been following OMAD for a while now and have lost considerable amount of weight without loosing muscle mass. I've been eating home cooked masala oats which is basically just combination of dal, oats and salsa/hot sauce and a chipotle bowl(obv home made) which consists rajma/chana,vegetables,rice(go easy on it),chicken(switch it up with paneer or soya chunks if you dont eat non veg), 2-3 boiled eggs, sour cream and cheddar cheese(yes cheese is healthy source of fats and protein and is great if consumed in moderate amounts).

@@DrPal- You have mentioned in the past that dosas and idlis are fermented and are good source of good gut bacteria, but will that hold true if you heat it? I think dosa and idli cooking temperature easily goes in excess of 70C while according to microbiology resources I could find online - 95% of the bacteria should be dead above 50C. Wanted to know if any recent studies show presence of bacteria even at high temperature?

As I started I became health conscious in choosing what I eat and healthy alternatives. In process I gained lot of nutrition knowledge. With combo of fasting and nutrition have almost reversed BP and totally shrunk thyroid nodules. I am now successful from 18 hr to 20 hr in OMAD…I have several tips to share what I start my day to drink and what I eat which could benefit the globe…I wish To pair with u in your shows to inspire people or atleast have talk with you ..not sure how to connect with you…am able to bring abt chg in my friends whom I have shared but now like to spread to masses through you…🙏🏻

Ton thanks to you Dr Pal. I've started IF lasf dec and now in two months i've lost 6 kgs. I was 88 kg before and now 82. I strictly followed 16:8 fasting. I ll finish my eating window by 5pm and start again next morning 9 only. I not even taste while cooking for my son who starts to school by 7am. During my eating window i was not that much strictly watching my calories..just ate in moderation. For eg, ate 3 idlies or 2 dosa for brkfst instead of 5 and 3. Since my second baby is one year old and i dont hav anyone else to help me except my husband and my elder son who is 10 yrs now, i usually cant follow any workout routines..just go for a walk three to four days a week with my little one in the evening. This intermittent fasting is like a magic and creating wonders in my life. Thank you so much Dr for creating such an impact and awareness among us.

Hello, Dr. Palaniappan... Could you please answer these 2 questions..? I've only found your channel 3 days ago... More than informational, I find this inspirational... So, Thank you... I have started a form of circadian cycle... but, my timings allow me to follow 8 to 8 cycle.... sometimes 8:30 PM.. but, no more... I hope you find time in your schedule to answer these two questions... 1. Lemon Water - No sugar, yes... what about salt? 2. I've only started now and like to take it slow... So, I am thinking about 16-18 hr fast on Monday, because I eat Non-Veg on Sunday and Tuesday... So, on Monday I'll be having only lunch and dinner.... Do I need to get my usual calorie count of 1800 kCal for the in the remaining 8-6 hrs? or stick to the usual meals and ignore about 600 kCal? I think the answer is ignore 600 kCal. But, would like to hear your thought... Thank you.

Tips for seeing doctor from my personal experience: 1.) Try avoiding an MBBS doctor/general physician at any cost. It is much better if a patient consults google rather than consulting them. 2.)Try natural/aurvedic medicines(I got too much relief with my digestive issues) before consulting any specialist doctor. Doctors will give you plethora of medicine and in many cases making your condition even worse. 3.)Every specialist doctor will tell you about the problem from his/her own point of view. For eg. If you have pain in center of abdomen, a gastroenterologist will tell you to have an ultrasound/endoscopy while a cardiologist will tell you to have an ecg and other tests( if by chance your blood pressure is even slightly high during the examination). If nothing is found they will tell you to seek a psychiatrist who will most probably put you on antidepressants(nexito plus, nexito forte, amisulphuride etc.)keeping your productivity all time low. 4.) I have consulted almost 20-30 doctors with more than 15+ years of experience. I do not know what kind of experience they possess as most of them do not even care to ask my medical history. For eg. Once I saw gastroenterologist for abdomen pain. He first told me to have ultasound, but reports were fine and then gave me antibiotics and vitazyme. I took antibiotic for 5 days but did not work. He changed antibiotic again and again I took it for 5 days. After the course I was feeling too weak. He was having 35 years of experience. 5.) In today's date I would recommend to see a specialist doctor if there is some major issue like sudden weight loss or some disease that has some visible symptoms or else I would suggest to have full body parameters checked once in 6 months. If there is chronic body pain(and all other body parameters are okay) try to see chiropractor/physiotherapist, drink lots of water, be social, regular exercise, proper sleep, have a healthy and nutritious diet. In short it will need some lifestyle changes and it will take time.

@@ketananand5251 It is my personal opinion, might have worked for others, I have suffered a lot in past 2 -3 years and consulted many general physicians. One instance is from government hospital, she checked my BP, came out to be little high, then on that basis she did all my tests from ECG to tropt test to sodium levels to 2d echo test which was not needed and every report came absolutely normal. At last I myself found that I was dehydrated and drank water everything was fine.

Hello dr pal, i really love your way of explaining things. I have a doubt in intermittent fasting. my eating window opens at 10am but before that I'm drinking green juice with honey, ginger cinnamon tea (healthy drinks with honey) Is it okay to do so? Or Should i include them in eating window after 10am? To reduce weight should i have to control calories in eating window also?

hey dr. pal can u give ur pov about having a small bowl of kheer ..not with sugar but with jaggery .. as it only contains small amout of rice and milk and replacing sugar with jaggery makes it a very low calorie desert ... that's my pov ...i just wanted to know your opinion on this ...plz reply

Not Dr. Pal or not even a doctor. Jaggery is not “healthier” or better than sugar. You can absolutely enjoy small amounts of sugar or jaggery as part of a balanced diet considering you are not diabetic etc. However jaggery is NOT a low calorie food. When it comes to calories, nutrients etc there is no POV. It is in absolute values. Jaggery cannot be a low calorie food for you and high calories for others. It contains the same amount of calories and sugar content for everyone.
