They all make about 400 HP too which is awesome because it wasn't seemingly all that long ago most pickup trucks where around 300 or less HP. Now most of these trucks have 8 and 10 speeds others at least have 6 or 7 speeds that all shift quick and provide excellent power delivery. Gone are the 260 HP 4 speed transmission days lol.

Punk Taco Well, they had to exclude the F-150 so these two would finally have a chance to win. When the F-150 is in the mix, it's not a close race like we saw with these two but by truck lengths because the F-150 would be that far ahead.

That C channel really helps overall articulation. I really want to see the Tundra get some serious updates. The 2007 based platform and powertrain have aged well more so in the power and performance category. In 2007 the Tundra changed the truck game. In 2018 they are just alright. I would buy a Tundra tomorrow if they added an 8 speed transmission, a vastly updated infotainment system, and other tech goodies other truck manufacturers have.

The truth here is that they are both great trucks, it boils down to preference. I love the heated front and back seats. Cooled seats in the front. Now it won't be a deal killer but those small luxury items that make it worth keeping it for the long run. Toyota will come out with their newly designed truck soon, I give them until 2020. Perhaps some news later this year in 2019. I also love the key less start and fact you can start the car prior to getting in and depending on weather, say it's hot day, the car will cool the inside down for you and the opposite if its cold it'll warm up the inside. All with simple remote. I don't have to leave house to go start it. Again maybe not for everyone but once you experience those features, 'TRUST ME" you'll want them. I really wish Toyota has already came out with their new design. Would love to decide from both, but can't wait. Going from a 2004 Titan to I think a 2018 or 2019. There is currently a $6,000.00 rebate/cash back that is applied. Ends this month.

MrJwh3000 I think you should research a little more about frames. C channels are the standard for the big trucks and heavy haulers. There is a variety of set ups to balance the frame behavior when it is designed. So there is boxed frames that flex a little and also very stiff C channel configurations. You can’t just asume they are flexible or stiff just for the shape. Cross members and other structural details and the steel mixture are some of the elements that define a frame behavior.
