@Mikie Jones stock is 306hp/295lb so about ~300hp at the wheels is average stock. With basic bolt-on parts and a tune you're looking at anywhere between 350 to 400 but the tune is essential to get those gains. The ECU in the car is smart enough that if you do FBO parts without a tune you will see minimal gains... maybe 320-340 as it's going to automatically compensate for that change to try and keep you in factory specs. A simple drop-in filter will give you +10hp in this car, where a $1400 intake will only give you +20hp. That same intake with a tune and you're looking at +50hp. With a totally stock car + tune you can easily get an extra 40-50hp out of this car depending on how aggressive you are with the tables.

Just a thought Roman - have you ever considered doing rolling acceleration test? I know there is a limited amount of straight track to allow cars to fully extend themselves and rolling starts could limit that even more but maybe you can have two cars together coming around the last turn at, say, 10 mph in 1st gear or something similar and then hit the gas at the starting line. You could eliminate the issues that some traction control systems have on cars and still have enough track length to effectively see which car is faster before running out of room. Jus something to think about adding to your battery of test.

Civic si driver needs a driver mod lol (he’s a good guy, maybe it’s just me, but idk)

If GT86 vs MX5 vs SI? 🤔
@thequarantinefamily52304 жыл бұрын
The Miata will beat both of them ...they already have a video
@rohinhans78194 жыл бұрын
In the 9th gen si you use the switch in the car or pull the Fuze. But pulling the Fuze means you lose all abs traction control vsc and powerstering i think
@thequarantinefamily52304 жыл бұрын
So basically a Miata can beat an SI if the SI driver isn’t prepared with his traction control 😂

If Honda really wanted to they can make that type r 400hp
@UnrelatedNonsense4 жыл бұрын
They could....but that would be pointless because it’s FWD. would need to be AWD with that much.
@The_Animal_Man4 жыл бұрын
They could make a driveable fwd car with 400hp it would have to be very front heavy and probably striped as a track car to do it
@UnrelatedNonsense4 жыл бұрын
Richard Veguilla Then that wouldn’t make it a practical road car which is pointless.

Had a GLC 43 as a loaner while getting my Merc serviced... Its a nice car for sure.. just small for me

What you mean small? 🤔 What are you man like a giant or something?
@twfinc68554 жыл бұрын
@@zealeau its not a big car at all.. Im 6'5" tall but if you look at a GLE they are way way bigger

Pls race the 2020 veloster turbo and the 2020 civic Si in the future

I’ve had 17 Si for 7 months. Got the 19 R. I will still take the R because of much more planted/stable it feels over the Si and the horse power.

I was envious of Si & R when I got budget 6MT LX Sedan. After 115k on the odo, I wouldn't want it any other way...it wouldn't be enough of an upgrade to justify the cost.

You forgot the four-cylinder supra it’s perfect for that competition.

That’s crazy how hard and convoluted they made it to disable traction control. Why, just why Honda ??!!?
@zealeau4 жыл бұрын
My guess the manufacturer did not actually want people to disable traction control on this one. Maybe it's not as safe as they would like to. Who knows, it's not that they can not make it easier so I believe they wanted to make it hard for their own reasons like probably safety
@psewgobind4 жыл бұрын
Traction control in my 6MT 2.0L Civic only requires a simple press of the button. Granted, it's still there if the car is going to spin-out, but it'll let you fry the tires bald if you wanted. I guess a car with sunroof and a cushy ride doesn't expect real performance maniacs behind the wheels.

Super cool video guys! Btw, Zack is a genius. You should have him on more...maybe the podcasts?? I can tell he knows his stuff from the commentary he provides from behind the camera on your live shows.

You should do mini gp with cheap tires vs. good tires on track and drag time

Type R vs Veloster N???
@brandonanderson41174 жыл бұрын
The type R would walk the veloster N, let alone the GP2 would give it a really good run.

Truly a great video. Love the editing. Introducing that beast of a Mercedes like a final boss in an epic action video game. My money, I’d take the Type R all the way!
