Sdbh is non connon but it has the most wanted transformations / god tiers animation ( every episode as I remember has the top quality of dbs ) / god tier fights / brings back vilains from connon and non cannon movies but the story kinda is really quick you might get confused sometimes and power scaling is kinda bad but still I will give it 8/10 if you end super you should check that before super 2 Edit: coz a lot of ppl are confused with the "God tier animation" I will explain why I called it that.. So heroes as all we know is made of episodes 7 min long but with months of work time which is way better than the 1 week super had. In every episode of super you will see some not detailed parts or when you pause the episode you get this "goofy" Animation on their faces or anywhere which doesn't happen in heroes. And not every episode is made of shida but in like 70% of the fights you can see difference in animation for example. Cumber vs cooler, black vs ui goku, gogeta vs black you get my point.

While I don't think DBS is great as a whole. I will say that the endings is something that it handled better than DBZ, We Were Angels is my favorite Dragon Ball ending but it's only the Buu saga and while I like Zenkai Power (it's a cute song), I don't think it should've lasted 3 sagas. But I think the series that handled the endings best is GT. There's 4 endings for each arcs (though, 2 endings don't start right when their arcs start (but for ending 2, it's a pretty good transition since Baby just took Vegeta's body)) and they're all awesome and give me chills everytime I listen to them. The English versions of them are great too, though, I don't think their re-orchestrated instrumentals are as good as the originals.

Fun fact about the lyrics to Cha-la Head Cha-la. They actually convey Goku's thoughts and feelings if you pay close attention. "Teach a dinosaur to ride a ball" to "upside-down the mountains look like butts" for example. It makes you think "Huh..that makes sense."

Kai actually doesn't have DBS art style outside the opening and endings. And tbh, I'm glad they kept the old look. I wish there weren't some jarring redrawn scenes in the first 3 arcs and the Buu arc wasn't 16:9 only and green tinted though. But I still really like to watch Kai, especially for the much faster (and imo, better, especially for the Frieza arc) pacing and the better English and French dubs (yes, I'm french).

Cha-La Head Cha-La no doubt is the best! So much nostalgia man! And for the Super Dragon Ball Heroes, it’s not part of the original storyline but for a game. The original storyline ends with the Tournament of Power. I suggest you read the manga for continuation of DBS. They won’t be releasing DBS 2 soon. But I tell you, the next arcs of DBS are so good bruh.

Just think Marvel's What Ifs. It's got that same "anything can happen, anyone can fight anyone" energy. They are non canon episodes that are usually about 10 minutes long. Used for promotions that tie in to the Japanese only games. Some great ideas, cool moments and transformations, but sometimes the execution falls flat. But I say still watch it after you finish ToP.

7:05 - The reason for that is because GT was originally made to be the end of all of Dragon Ball. It's melancholic for a reason. GT had somewhat of a finality to it. Actually it had everything of a finality to it. But make no mistake. There is a TON of action in it, even if the fights are shorter than they are in Z.

7:03 the opening sounds like departure music because the series is about Goku’s farewell, Its about Goku’s final adventures before he departs, and it was purposefully done to reflect the adventures that started gokus journey, which is dragon ball, hence why he was turned to as a child to mimic the dragon ball journey. Goku in GT was more easy going and fooling around in a way it reflects to how goku was in dragon ball.

the last opening is Super Dragon Ball Heroes : a seperate non canon series made by Toe Animations, 10 minutes long episodes and supposed to be after Dragon ball super . its definitly worth watching , because it has unique incounters you cant see in canon series like for example the first episode SSb Goku vs SSg4 Goku , then there is new transformations and Zamasu and Jiren... , and even Gogeta vs Vegito

As for what Heroes is; you know how there was all the lore and concepts made for Dragon Ball Online, which was then retooled for the Xenovese games after it went down? Heroes/Super Heroes is a card-based arcade game based around the same concepts, though not the same timeline and some characters are handled differently. It was originally arcade-only but rather recently got "World Mission" which is a console/PC version that includes most the arcade missions (I believe it stops at around where the anime begins actually, but don't quote me on that) as well as a more indepth original story mode. It started out pretty simple, but rapidly expanded, adding tons of new characters, settings, and concepts, to the point that Heroes is now basically an entirely separate canon running alongside the Super one. Said storyline in-game is very basic as far as I can tell (I've only played the world mission versions of the arcade stuff), but it is known for having dozens of really cool animated trailers that give a good idea of the plot and I highly recommend checking out. Eventually it got a manga adaptation however, and the opening you saw is for the anime adaptation, of the manga adaptation, of the card game, that spun off from the MMORPG, of Dragon Ball. Before you get your hopes up, it's a short anime, so including OPs and EDs the episodes are like 15 minutes or so, but there are multiple seasons already, so there's a good amount to watch even with the individual episodes being very quick. I'm only midway into the first season incidentally, so I can't comment on if/how it changes later. I'd definitely recommend it, as while I flip around at times, all-in-all I tend to prefer the Heroes timeline over the Super one.

SDBH is a promotional anime to their own arcade game exclusive in Japan, where you can gather cards of character from DB franchises including non cannon ones like movies and GT , so usually their episodes last shorter than 10 minutes and its filled with alot of fan service such as SSJ4 vs SSJB Goku, different future trunks, Goku Black's return with SSJR3 etc, hecc including Bardock himself
