Digital Adventurer Based off how nothing Trunks does to the past, affects his timeline. It's most likely that it's more of a multiverse travel thing his Time Machine goes through, then time travel. Hence why 17 and 18 aren't evil(they never kill anyone beyond Gero), discover 16, and are stronger than the 17 and 18 in Trunks timeline, and 19 exists in this timeline exclusively.

Actually if I remember it was a huge turning point for Vegeta to become super saiyan. He had to come to terms that Goku is better and would be better than him. Him relinquishing his need to and pride to be better than goku made his heart pure in that moment and allowed him to go super.

Vegeta didn't have this revelation until years after he became a Super Saiyan though. What caused it wasn't that he accepted Goku as his better, it was that he was so distraught by his inability to transform that all the anger he had for forces that made his life hell turned inward, and with all of his immeasurable rage focused on one outlet, the surge was enough to break through the Super Saiyan barrier. It was while watching Goku fight Kid Buu and how they fought equally that Vegeta finally understood the fundamental difference in their philosophy of battle, and how that difference in philosophy defined their limits that Vegeta had the revelation you speak of. He understood that Goku's reason to fight allowed him to go further faster, and that because of that Goku would always be the better fighter. This understanding of their differences led him to this conclusion, but more importantly allowed him to accept it. I think it was this realization and acceptance that was the final tipping point that pushed him firmly into the parameters of the revival wish that would later be used as the foundation to form the Spirit Bomb.

Saiyans go super because of emotion which is why it comes easier for the half human hybrid saiyans. Humans are much more emotional than Saiyans and thus have more potential for growth at an earlier age. It doesn't matter how powerful they are. They could be power level 5 and go super saiyan. It's just a power multiplier. It's how Bardock is able to go SSJ because it comes from being desperate and needing that power. They even show it in the Dragon Ball movie when goku is a kid. He almost reaches SSJ status, but it doesn't happen all the way. It doesnt happen in the show though, just the movie recap that was probably made after Dragon Ball Z did SSJ Goku. It's the movie where Bulma has purple hair for some reason

In the manga bulma had purple hair (just like trunks) but the anime changed that, now in super toriyama himself decided to change future trunks hair to match anime bulma, so it's like a retcon and we can assume that the canon colour is now blue/turquoise. The movie you are talking about is the 10th aniversary one and probably they wanted the colours to match the manga
