So, there is also a small joke in this episode that most people don't notice, once Goku asks if Frieza wants to play "20 questions", 20 questions were asked after that, Krillin's "Can't you take a joke?" was question number 21, hence he lost and died.

Who else caught the joke when the Ginyu Force landed on King Kai's planet? Burter grabbed Reccoom's left leg, Jeice grabbed his right, but then Guldo said "I've got the middle." Middle leg? Yeah, dude, that's not a leg you're grabbing there, guy. Also, if it's big enough for you to confuse it for a leg, then you can see why King Yemma said "Nice!", prompting Reccoom to reply with "Reccoom thanks you!"

Funny thing to note when Frieza said “Let god strike me down where I stand” That’s most likely Kami striking down lightning from the lookout and Frieza just ate it like it was nothing 😂😂

Fun fact from the manga: If i remember correctly not only did freeza received a lot of damage from the spirit bomb but his actual power level went down by a lot as well due to said spirit bomb. wich means super saiyan goku and freezer were both fighting on equal footing as damaged warriors, but if both where at their max super saiyan goku was theoretically a lot stronger than 100% freeza.

Fun fact if it hasn't been mentioned: The reason Yamcha wasn't speaking for the past few episodes is because the guy who was originally doing the voice left TFS, and they hadn't cast a new voice actor until this episode, so they just made a joke of Yamcha never quite getting to talk until they had recast.

To be fair he was weakened tho. They wished to restored his energy back to full meaning he could've done it if he started the fight with the Spirit Bomb. Also Goku wanted Vegeta to fight so he didnt take it as seriously as he should've. Oh and kidbuu is weaker than super buu, his instinct is more kill instead of fun and candy

Spirit bomb only worked 1 time in the anime to finish an opponent, and it was after a struggle and when Goku was wished to have his power returned to add to it, but the Spirit bomb ALWAYS worked in the movies

So Kaiser Neko has said that the reason why krillin died at the end of this episode instead of beginning of episode 30 was because he wanted to make the super Saiyan transformation serious. And he felt it would have been awkward coming off the heels of the more comedic tone of krillin's death.

After the Freeza saga you should listen to the DBZA parody song with Freeza called "Just give up". It really amazing! It does contain joke spoilers to episode 30, so would advice to listen to it right afterward. :D Bonus fact time! When Piccolo got shot and Gohan yelled "No. *no*.. nooooooo", Team Four Star regrets not making Gohan say: "Why.. didn't.. you.. DOOOOOODGE!" Bonus fact nr 2: If you count how many questions was ask after they start the "20 question" game, Krillins "Can't you take a joke?" would be nr 21, hence why he got punished. Amazing line up. That said, can't wait to see you witness the amazingness that is ep. 30

Vegeta3986 was the voice of Yamcha at the start before he left Team Four Star. There were rumors he was fired for his lacking skills as a voice actor, but in reality he left so he could focus on his teaching job overseas in Japan.

Kinda got it worse really, especially with the dropped OG Dragon Ball logic that when revived, the soul returns to the body. Chiaotzu and Krillin being blown up, at the time, had implications to say they could never be revived as they had no body to come back to.

You should try watching the original japanese. I never looked back after first watching the sub years ago and it's phenomenal. z is better than kai for the sub although i'd deffo say kai for the eng dub but japanese z is the best and of course og dragonball which is even better than z imo. Like trust me just type in gohans ss2 transformation Japanese on youtube it is a masterpiece.
