Reece A He is definitely an all-star caliber player. He’s elite at EVERYTHING except scoring. That’s an all-star. If Carmelo Anthony is considered an all-star for simply being a great scorer than Green can be one for being an elite defender, rebounder, and passer. DPOY award winners have and should always be all-stars and he is one of them! Sit down youngin lol

One thing I notice about Draymond is he is just so damn technically sound when he plays defense. He contests so many shots but he always has his hands straight up, he doesn't commit stupid or lazy fouls. Guarding the guys he does, other guys would foul out every game. I am just always impressed how he contests so many shots in the paint without having to foul them.

These are the reasons why he is the fourth best player in the league after Lebron, Durant and Kawhi. My current NBA dream team would be: Point Guard- Lebron James Shooting Guard- Kawhi Leonard Small Forward- Kevin Durant Power Forward- Draymond Green Center- Rudy Gobert Not only does this have the 3 best defensive players in the NBA (Leonard, Green, Gobert) and the best 3 overall players in the NBA (James, Leonard, Durant). More specifically this team has the best perimeter defender in Leonard, the best rim protector in Gobert, the best defensive leader in Green, the best offensive leader and overall leader in Lebron, and the best scorer in Durant. This also has a ridiculous height advantage due to everyone except Draymond being way above the average height for the positions I have put them. They can also shoot the 3 well overall, as Durant is elite from 3, Kawhi and Lebron are excellent at times, and Draymond is consitently good from outside, especially with open looks. The Gravity and team play of the 3 stars would also serve to create open looks all the time. On top of all this, everyone except Kawhi is a great rebounder. If someone disagrees with my team and thinks they could give an improvement please reply.
@up2richie4477 жыл бұрын
This team is scary, I would put AD or KAT in for gobert. I think either one has great potential to be abetter rim protector while bein able to stretch the floor
@bartomiej98077 жыл бұрын
Give GIannis 2 more years and you can trade sub Green 4 him. Not that he is better defender, since he understands enemies offence less, but he has superb physique and can be more effective in offence, which is Draymonds flaw (same as Rodman's he isnt interested in offence as much. I fully understand that - I can give up 6-10 points for my 1 good block :) ).
@joshuahart1537 жыл бұрын
Draymond fits well here, since he won't need to score with LeBron, Leonard, and Durant on the floor at the same time. Draymond's good for jumping passing lanes, helping, calling out defensive assigments and using his high IQ to do things like making sure Gobert doesn't get switched out onto the perimeter, plus there aren't really any mismatches for him so teams can't switch with Green's man at all. I like Gobert and Green together since Gobert can defend the paint against bigs who are too tall for Green to defend, and if he does get switched onto the perimeter Green will almost always be smart enough to help stop the blow-by by a quicker guard. Offensively, Green can knock down open threes so he can punish teams that leave him wide open (which will be most teams' defensive gameplans), and he's a good ballhandler and passer. I think most of the time LeBron will bring up the ball, with Green and Gobert using their strength and size to help get Leonard and Durant open on mismatch isolations, while Gobert will often roll to the basket to catch lobs from LeBron or Green or snag rebounds, and Green and Durant/Leonard can stay near the perimeter for kick-outs when LeBron drives down the lane. Also, Leonard and Durant are fantastic at attacking on the catch, since they can drive, shoot, and use their handles to keep the defender's off-balance. Truly and unstoppable team as long as they don't clash.
@ogbmt7 жыл бұрын
Joshua Hart Yeah this was my thinking. Also that Green as defensive leader and Kawhi as the best perimeter defender- mean diminished responsibility for Lebron on defence. He and Durant can just play hard on offence with Kawhi as a third option. Durant has played the best defence of his life alongside Green because of the freedom Green gives him. He can leave his assignment to use his length to bother other players on help defence, and he would do the same stuff on this team. Lebron would be an unfair defender on the other teams 2nd or 3rd option and he would add his signiture chasedown blocks every once in a while. I also think that on offence- Gobert would get wide open dunks all the time from pick and rolls, handoffs at the rim, and general stuff in transition where the other team have to concentrate on Lebron, Durant and Leonard.
