Thanks for bringing attention to donating . There are many students who graduate and don’t have the means to attend their grad. ( can’t afford the dress , shoes, makeup, accessories, ). There are organizations who help make students celebrate their special day. You're skin looks sooooo good here. If dr.dray could for once put some light on kitchen ingredients ( like gramflour, coffee, chocolate, saffron neem, salt, sugar, nuts n seeds or others ) if they are of any good / harm to use straight up on skin as we see DIY recipes all over the place.

Personally the only thing I use is a colliadial oatmeal mask. I soak gauze and about 3 tbsp of oats in 1 cup of warm water. I apply it and leave until the mask is damp and then go over it with a petrolatum product (usually aveeno baby eczema cream or actual petroleum jelly) I really don't like scrubbing or using sugars or salts as abrasives.

Today I found a new good sunscreen at Walgreens. It's a generic brand of Walgreens, it is only $3-4 for 3oz. It's a combination between Octocrylene 4% and Zinc 5%. No white cast at all. Since it does not contain Oxybenzone, it does not burn eyes. They have a bunch of them, but I tried the purple one for sensitive skin SPF 50, and 80 minutes water resistant.

Dr, Dray, my parents are both physicians, and in particular, my father is a pathologist... Naturally, he diagnosis skin cancer on a near daily basis... one thing I think would be cool for you to talk about is what happens to the skin on a microscopic level when it gets damaged. My dad showed me slides of sun-damaged skin under the microscope and how the elastic-like tissue breaks down/stretches out and turns purple. That alone, was what really got me into using a daily sunscreen. Also, I find your videos amazing because your dialog is understandable and relatable to me. I like that you help us find bargains. This channel has made me question my spending habits in terms of skin care. ALSO, 2 things if you get the chance: 1) do you recommend a sunscreen for the scalp? like on the part area? 2) I asked earlier but you might not have seen it: in terms of using soolantra and other products such as glycolic acid, how would you recommend layering the products?

solar elastosis for one 1) hat 2) talk to your derm on if that is the best thing for you, soolantra is generally used for rosacea, and cosmecuticals can add insult to injury and render soolantra useless

Hello doc! There will be so much appreciation for all those products you are passing on, I am sure. I just wanted to share that "Institut Esthederm" is not in fact a new brand at all :-) it is a very famous and high end french brand, (around maybe since the 70s or around that time and funded by a biologist/researcher) and there is an Institut in Paris I believe, where they also give facials and so on. One of their famous products is the Eau Cellulaire, which I think is an essence. I cannot speak for their products but I have heard about it a lot and mostly in a positive way. Except for the price....have a great day!!

With my rosacea and very sensitive skin, I thought I’d love the vanicream brand especially since it’s formaldehyde free and I’m highly allergic but there must be something else in that brand that bothers me cause once I stopped using the shampoo and lotions and body wash, I notice a difference. I have been using it as spot treatment for that purpose. It seems to help with pumps on my upper eyelids and face area near the nose, also on the nose. The pumps are gradually decreasing so i am happy. I am also trying the Ordinary emulsion with 1% retinoid in the same areas, great result.

I have been going makeup free more frequently and my skin has been amazing. I also have purchased a few of the products you have recommended- la roche possay moisturizer/spf, cerave pm moisturizer, vaseline, etc. My skin had never looked better! Oh, that’s a lot of really nice stuff. I‘m sure, it will be very much appreciated! A have a request: would you do a video that specifically talks to parents of small children? About how important it is, to be consistent with sun protection for the little ones, in regard to skin cancer occurrences later on in life? I‘m trying, to convince my brother and sister in law, to not just use sunscreen, to prevent sunburn in summer...which is pretty much all they’re doing. Like most people here, honestly. I‘m not really getting anywhere, but they’re generally sensible enough, to listen to direct advice from a doctor/professional. Club them into submission with science for me, please 😄
