But my skin is smooth and when i use green based makeup my skin literally looks flawless. The red flushed type of rosacea I have definately doesnt mean you have to also have the mite type pimply form of rosacea

Thank you Dr. Dray for sharing :) As always perfect company while having my tea 🍵 My skin is very sensitive with Rosacea. Some of the products I have used in the past had Sodium Laurel Sulfate which can be a skin irritant. SLS can be in cleansers, shampoo's and some cosmetics including mascara 😏 Some essential oils can irritate sensitive skin also. The skin care products that I'm using are the Neutrogena Ultra gentle hydrating fragrance free cleanser, Hydro boost cleansing gel, and the Vanicream Moisturizing Lotion & Sunscreen. Happy Thanksgiving everyone 🌹

Before you got me to try tretinoin my skin used to get so irritated and I noticed the blood vessels on my face were so prominent but after more than a year on tretinoin my skin doesn’t get irritated and the blood vessels are almost unnoticeable.
@KittenBowl1 Жыл бұрын
Tretinoin is not only reserved for skin. I think she mentions it like it’s reserved for dermatology only but it’s usually prescribed for inflammation of throat or nose due to cold or viral infection to take as an oral medication. Just that it happens to work on skin also. It’s used mainly to take as oral medication for removing certain age spots and brown spots caused by inflammatory response and with laser treatment not to get inflammatory response from it. She should make it clear that it’s not really for beauty purpose. It’s mainly to calm down the inflammation therefore if the age brown spots that are caused by inflammation can be relieved. But not all spots are caused by inflammation (like freckles and regular sun spots are not). Weak OTC cream is just cosmetic but Tretinoin is prescribed usually as anti-inflammatory medication by MD (and not necessarily by a dermatologist).
@Hemmyii Жыл бұрын
Sunscreen and adapalene/tretinoin have really slowed the formation of them for me too. I get laser treatment every year because I form them so quickly but this year it’s almost time and I have very few that are bothering me. My derm who does the laser treatments warned me tret can make you form them faster but that’s definitely not been the case for me.
