No need to "dread" watch. This series is excellent, and so far it's been an incredible show. The writing is incredibly strong. This one is seriously worth watching.

Morph can't take powers, but he can assume all the physical attributes of the person he's morphing into. So taking the form of Archangel gives him wings, which is all he needed here. All the physical bits are made of organic material, though, so for instance if he copied Wolverine his claws wouldn't be adamantium, they'd just be bone; and he wouldn't have Wolverine's healing factor, either.

1. Beast was working on Bishop's damaged time travel device. 2. Electorstatic forces determine where physical objcects touch. With enough control, he can have just enough space between them. (or it's comic book magic...) 3. Morph had that bad experience with Mr. Sinister (as shown in the title sequence.) He was kinda scarred by that, so maybe that's why he doesn't want to be his old self? 4. Roberto is a character from the New Mutants comics, so I'm sure they'll keep him around like all sorts of other background mutants. 5. Glad you're watching this, and I recommend you hurry up and catch up before you're spoiled on twists already!

There are comic books runs where Magneto and Rouge are married and have a child. Magneto electromagnetic shield allows him to touch Rouge; something Gambit is also able to eventually do in the comics by building up static electricity. In the 2018 comics Gambit and Rouge finally get married.

The two Jean's will make sense. Since knowing Jean was pregnant from the series trailer if she had a boy or girl it was going to change some things. Now after knowing the baby was a boy and hearing his name; glad to know my suspicions where correct.

After the latest episode I can safety say that this series for me has surpassed the original in every aspect. censorship during the 1990s was also just really strict so 97 is much more mature, haven't looked at the age ratings but it's surprising how much they can get away with in the series.

Morph's doppelgängeresk design is from the Age of Apocalypse comic run, the creators probably just really liked it. In that series Morph's powers were depicted a lot stronger, at one point he becomes a blue whale and transports the team in his mouth, in another scene he becomes a brick wall.

The animation style changed because in the 90s there were LOADS of computer generated animation programs being developed almost monthly. So as the series was being created the producers got better tools.

No, the style changed because of budget cuts and they had to switch over to a cheaper animation studio.

Those last 10 episodes changed because they switched to an Asian animation house to reduce production costs.

Morph has now a white/alien face, because this is the way he looks in the comics. But Morph was originally created for the 92 series. Before that, a similarly character appeared in the comics, who called himself "Changeling" on which Morph is based of. Apart from that, he has not yet shown the full potential of his powers in the series, which he also has in the comics. In the series, he has only transformed into other people so far, but like the T-1000 in Terminator 2, Morph can also transform into any object he wants. I hope, that they will include this power into the series as well.
