From what I understand of the lore for this era, you pretty much got it! In Fly High JiU captures a spider in the garden and keeps it in a glass jar, and then a careless young Yoohyeon is cruel to it for her own amusement, and so the spirit of the spider curses all of the girls into being trapped in nightmares. With time and using the power of the curse, they become nightmares themselves, and are eventually hunted down by the dream hunter guy in Chase Me. They manage to turn the tables on him and use his own spells to trap him as they escape in Good Night. Then What and You and I show them realizing they still can't escape that spider and it's original curse, as they try to get back together and free themselves but specially Yoohyeon, who is singled out by the spider. Piri shows the story ending in failure as they can't escape, and Breaking Out shows the alternate ending where they do find each other and manage to actually break out of the nightmare.

"What" is still in my top 3 favorite title tracks. It's heavy for a Korean release and I love the syncopation in the second half of the chorus. Story-wise this is the first time they wear non-uniform outfits, which I believe is because they lost Yoohyeon (or at least her spirit) and are kind of broken. You can also see them search for her alone, not as a group. For me this is a song about the loss of a loved one and what that does to a group or family. I might be reaching, but this is the meaning for me. "Piri" is the last part of the Nightmare Arc. In "What", the girls have been searching for Yoohyeon, and here they find each other again, but in the end they are all stuck in the white dimension. A Piri is a Korean flute that was used historically to signal danger, and that is what Yoohyeon does here when the members arrive. She is the one capturing them one by one, to rescue them and bring them to safety. They are together in the end, but still stuck. Dreamcatcher don't do happy endings. 😉 Breaking out is considered to be an alternative ending to the Nightmare arc, because the girls are not only together, but Yoohyeon is complete again (there is a scene where two Yoohyeons turn into one). Of their Japanese releases, this is the least heavy in my book (which is not a bad thing). Also, JiU really lets her hair down here. 😉

Everyone has their own interpretation and order of the nightmare series but here's mine : Fly high: yoohyeon burning the spider You and i : the spider comes back for revenge and take yoohyeon and the girls performed a spell to get her back What : yoohyeon got back but it's not her spirit which is what jiu realizes at the end Piri: they go to a purgatory of somekind to find yoohyeon but they get stuck as well and turn into spirits ps:(first few seconds you can see that Yooh is the first one to arrive and at the end it was all of them ) Chase me : they inhabited that hotel as spirits and got chased by a ghost hunter Good night : they kill the ghost hunter

I like Breaking Out as the last song of Nightmare. That makes 7 songs for 7 members, and at the end of it all members are finally reunited with the line, "bye bye to this nightmare" and they soon change to the positive messages in Dystopia and Apocalypse.

Piri is still one of the best. Up til then Gahyeon had been just the maknae that sings a couple lines each song, then out of nowhere she slams in with that staccato rap to start the second verse. It's fun to imagine the floor damage sustained worldwide as Somnias impacted with them. I noticed you're still saying See-on for Siyeon. That's written badly for English readers because her name is pronounced SHE-yawn with the full SH sound.

Dreamcather made their debut again by releasing their first single album entitled Nightmare along with the main song entitled "Chase Me", on January 13 2017 And on January 19, Dreamcather debuted on stage at a TV station Next, Dreamcatcher made their first comeback by releasing their second single album entitled Fall Asleep in the Mirror on April 5. The song is entitled Good Night...Dreamcatcher released their first mini album entitled Prequel on July 27. The album has six songs with the main song entitled Fly High.

I know lots of somnias explained the story arc in the comments but i have a recommend this video for other explanation for nightmare series: "Dreamcatcher nightmare series explained" by sua's sinb. I know this is just her theory but it helped me out understanding the storyline between the mvs. So i also hope you could also connect the lines between the mvs!

Theres a lot of theories but one I like a lot is basically overall saying that Yoohyeon gets looks since the beggining and Jiu refuses to let her go. She goes through everything in lrder to try and save/reach her and obviously Deukae doesnt let neither their leader nor Yoohyeonie get lost so they seem to all end up lost but together. Breaking out is... in my opinion so intense because of the whole reaching out to each other.
