Some years back my doctor told me my liver was was 80% swollen , I didn’t know what that means , I was still drinking . My eyes were always yellow , while I kept using visine, that did not work . I had lost even my butt, one day I even vomit blood. My doctor prescribed me naltrexone 50 mg that’s it, no real explanation. I came across this Chanel dr berg explains every thing, break down the explanations of the liver functions ,and alcohol and symptoms of the body 😳. Needless to say this man saved my life . I quit drinking , did all the remedies dr berg mentioned in a video , kale beet tops , kefir , boil eggs ect…. . Now my blood work I have perfect liver . I get emotional thinking about that era in my life. Am now at the gym 4 days a wk, look younger ,, I’ve never feel better at 51 yrs of age . Thank you is truly an understatement. Dear sir you deserve some awards, because of you some people are alive today . 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤

Congratulations and great inspirational story!! My new primary doctor that I just met, said I have NAFL, my A1C is 6.0 (prediabetic), and my liver enzyme numbers were at 200!! Right away she turned me off when she suggested I use a weight reducing injection for faster results!! And I understand that some people need prescription drugs but I despise them for my own reasons!! I told her I'd rather change my diet and exercise and so, I did!! I've lost 10lbs so far, slow and steady, I got new bloodwork done yesterday and hoping my numbers have gone down!!🙏🙏

I have been around 2 months is a keto-carnivore diet, for logistical reason I had to abandon it for 3 days. I said, wth lets eat some chips. And they sucked. instead of the potato flavor, I only tasted the salt. I ate some bread in a conference coffee, and the same happen, I couldn't taste the bread (it had mayo, avocado and serrano ham, and it tasted really good, but I took a piece of the bread and tasted like nothing). I quite confusing since it was not long ago when I craved the taste of them, but now there were really disappointing. I havent been sick from a long time to say that I lost flavors in between the experiences (before and after keto). this is not the first time that I have done keto (lasted 6 months like 4 years ago and logistics also screw me over, but then I was in a more "vegetarian" (compared to now, at least xD) form of keto, and the bread and potato chips ultimately made me fail when my food logistic were tested)

When I was a OTR driver I was waiting at a shipper way up north. I knew I had a long wait so I picked up a couple of those impossible burgers for dinner. During my wait (in the middle of the night) I consumed one of them it was ok only because of the fresh crisp vegetables on it. As I ate I was watching this wolf searching the area. I rolled my window down and tossed the other burger out and rolled the window up quickly and faded into the shadows to watch. He watched me closely and very cautiously crept up to it, sniffing it for awhile he wouldn’t touch it. As hungry as that wild animal was he wouldn’t touch it! I’ll never consume fake food again.

Another perspective worthy of discussion is the liver's priorities of activities. For example, the number one priority is glucose metabolism. During WWII, Allied soldiers kept in Japanese prison camps experienced symptoms of increased estrogen levels--man boobs, reduced hair growth, even voice changes--because the staple food was white unenriched rice. As a consequence, after the B1 and other nutrients were used up in their management of glucose, the liver no longer had resources for regulating the hormones. This also accounts in part for earlier onset of puberty in the West--the ever increasing consumption of sugars in junk foods and drinks.

Thanks for this one. You have been listening to my posts, which I appreciate. I think my liver issues started when I was young (which was unhealthy food and lots of stress), but a stressful life has made it worse, even though I eat healthier (based on information at the time). My thyroid went hypo when I was in my early 20's. Then I had my only child at 32 and things went downhill quickly after that. When I was 60, I was told I had fatty liver, which was a real wakeup call. I started working on my digestion after that, with probiotics and such. Now my digestion is better, I make my own probiotics, intermittent fast, and Keto type diet. I have noticed that Tudca helps, but when I take bile, I get bad heartburn, so I'm thinking that my bile is too thick. In many ways, I'm healthier than I have been for a long time, but have constant discomfort on my right side, so I'm pretty sure it's the liver.

Around the 11:50 mark, Dr. Berg mentions cooking with MCT. That's ok as long as you keep it below 320ºF. MCT has a low smoking point, so not the very best all-round cooking oil. Compare olive oil, also not the best all round cooking oil (though fine at lower temperatures), has a smoke point of 390-410ºF. Avocado oil has a smoke point of 520ºF.

I had pain in the general area for many years. Extreme pain. I believed it was my liver because my gallbladder was gone. It turned out to be my bile ducts, possibly gallstones, even though my gallbladder is gone. I was so afraid my liver was toast. Your supplement relieved the pain in days. I am amazed. @RichardTClark396 , yes. I do everything to help my liver. My liver numbers are fine now. But it did not do anything for my pain. Finally, one of the doctors in the medical clinic told me the pain was not in my liver, but in the gallbladder area, and it was my bile ducts. I had just ordered and started taking Dr. Berg's bile duct cleaner. It took care of the pain in just a few days. My mother, my grandfather, and my great grandmother all died in their 50s with GI issues, so it scares me. I am 65, and I felt like a ticking time bomb.

Dr. Berg, I just want to say thank you. I've followed you for quite some time and watched many of your videos. I have autism and all health benefits I've received from changing my diet and really care about what I eat has also improved my autism. I focus better, I seem to misunderstand people less (which even feels weird to write), and I'm also being less misunderstood. This has been the unholy trinity that has plagued most of my life. The autism apart, all health issues I've had (inflammations and pains mainly) has greatly improved. So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! ------------------------------- For anyone reading this wondering what I've changed in my diet - here's a list of everything I've changed: - Carnivore/keto diet. I only eat meat (fish/chicken/but mostly beef), eggs and some vegetables (mainly sprouts - alfalfa & broccoli). -- Monday - Friday I eat a Rib eye steak with sprouts and fried eggs. -- Saturdays I eat any organ meat. Mostly liver. Sometimes a mix of chicken hearts and liver. Sprouts on the side. -- Sundays I eat some fatty fish - mostly salmon. Sprouts on the side. - I've also added vitamin, ashwaganda and cod liver omega supplements to my diet. Sometimes I add olives, spinach and/or feta to the sprouts, and I always add a spoonful (or two) of extra virgin olive oil.

I had gall stones, ended up having to have emergency surgery right before Thanksgiving that year! I had issues with it for years before I was in so much pain I couldn't breathe or eat or drink anything.. it was awful! There were 7 gall stones in my gall bladder when it was removed.. a couple the size of nickels and the others the size of dimes! Afterwards I developed very poor, slow digestion and I notice an enormous difference between having bile salts & when I run out! I feel pretty good when I have it (ox bile with other digestive enzymes) every day, though. I highly recommend them to anyone who has had their gall bladder removed!

Dr. BERG, I am a 51 yr old F with severe fatty liver with moderate fibrosis. A month ago I started IF With a low carb healthy keto, eating two meals a day. I get around thirty carbs a day, and consume around thirteen hundred calories. That is including my vegetables and berries. I felt great and lost eighteen pounds. Now my pulse has dropped into the low fifties, I feel cold and have a weird taste in my mouth and am having trouble sleeping. I make sure I drink plenty of water with salt and Himalayan salt to try to make sure my electrolytes are OK and I take a multivitamin. I am eating shrimp, salmon, chicken and tuna with occasional beef. I eat salads and have all the good vegetables and no starchy ones. I only eat twice a day and fast between eighteen and twenty hours. Any advice on how to feel better again?

A massive thank you for posting this video. For months, I've been having a variety of health issues, from bowl troubles, bloating, and tiredness. Also since January of this year, following my second run in with Covid, which hit me very hard, I was left with a bit of a crackling when taking deep breaths. I had tried everything I could think of to loose weight (I peaked at 19st), thinking it had been what I was eating, or maybe too much, but I never stopped to think it was a fatty liver. Following the tips in this video, and taking Tudca for just a few days now, the bloating has quickly gone, the bowl movements have improved, the crackling has gone, and I feel like a million dollars. Since Covid, many UK GP's have become quite elusive in seeing their patients, which has made addressing my health issues a real battle. So once again, Thank You.

I love how you break us down about how we destroy our liver and then power us up with the exact thing to do to start repairing it. I'm in my 50's and starting to get concerned about some health issues that I never had before. I try to stay away from any medicine unless it's detrimental to my health. After reading about gut health, I started taking a pre/pro biotic. Then, I read about the numerous benefits of triglycerides in quality olive oil which also kills bacteria. Is it counterproductive to be taking both?

I have a challenge and it is that ; I feel sleepy and doze off when I'm not doing things that put me in active mood almost everyday even after having adequate rest at night. It's different from the usual cases. When I feel sleepy, all it takes is just like 15 minutes nap and I'm good until it comes again. It's alarming cuz a day doesn't go by without me feeling sleepy and dozing off, I'd really be grateful for your response and recommendations Doc?

@MrYorickJenkins6 ай бұрын
I have never in my life heard of "soy protein isolates" and have no idea if I have ever consumed them haha This is clear and informative and you describe the way we eat ourselves into sickness, that is true. The fact about all these no doubt worthy recommendations, is that the people presenting them seem to assume that viewers have easy access to what they recommend and can afford to pay for them. In Europe this is probaly largely speaking possible (not sure everyone can afford "grass fed" meat thoguh) but in the USA? By "dear meat" presumably vension is meant? But you are joking That is VERY expensive. I lived for six months in Washington DC on a low budget and could not hope to afford what is recommended here and dont even remember supermarkets offering them. Virgin olive oil has shot up in prce over the last couple of years in Europe. I would say an increase of about 40%. Why do Americans call herbs "erbs"?? They dont call Herbert "Erbert" do they?? Prices are going to become more of an issue as times goes on. I hope people are going to start recommending healthy food for people on a low budget.
