When I was a student in elementary school in China, all schools had to abolish physical punishment due to child protection law being changed to modern standards. So teachers had established other forms of punishment such as writing a word 1000 times or writing your name 1000 times. And guess what, the hack that glues 2 pens together has saved my little soul. Actually the chip thing is real. It's taught in storm chaser survival classes, normally with fritos. the chips are so greasy that even if they get wet they can be used to start a fire immediately. A teacher of mine, I'm a geography/meteorology major, packs them when she goes into hurricanes.

i think the chips one was supposed to show that tortilla chips can be used as kindling in an emergency situation, but the situation was ridiculous and the video did not show the idea of it properly.
