Can’t thank you enough for taking the time to talk about the density issues surrounding preexisting hairs vs newly transplanted hairs. I’m in month 14 of a frontal transplant and have stressed over the lesser density of transplant that I see vs the normal/original hairs. I have wanted the “heroic” transplant but now understand better why it’s a safer bet to not overwhelm the existing blood supply to the existing hairs. My situation is very much like Jamie foxx, and I hope that I will not need any additional/refining with another procedure. I certainly hope that by 18-24 months things will look much much better. Something to note when looking at images from movies, if the movie came out in say 2007, those images are most likely from 2005 or earlier when filming actually occurred. I'm a licensed barber. I know after wearing the dread locs hairstyle, most people go shorter and some of the scalp will be damaged if the person shaving it off doesn't know what they are doing. He did have some fibers added along with color. Some barber's push that hair line back too far or change it from the natural position. ( USUALLY RAZOR EDGE UP ).He also wore a weave in some movies and if it was not removed properly it will cause alopecia. I don't know what the scar in the back was from. I don't think a man will spend money on hair replacement, when it will be shaved anyway.* He has worn a bald fade for years. I think he had too many barbers doing his hair.

He definitely found a much much MUCH better doctor in his later years! After 47.., everything looks really natural on Jamie and compliments his face. Exceptional work!!! It’s not about how much money you spend.., it is literally about WHO is doing the work. Top dollar in absolutely no way means top doctors!!! Some of those celebrity doctors, and doctors catering to the rich… are some real butchers!!! You can pay top dollar and still get mediocre or worse. But I also see regular people get dental veneers, and cosmetic surgeries etc… that are phenomenal. Like whoever did Steve Harvey’s teeth, the doctor may have been very expensive, but their work was not good .., they are way to big and don’t look natural at all. Look at dozens of REAL PHOTOS of their work .., and search out real testimonials of their work on line from real people before you let ANY COSMETIC DOCTOR EVER TOUCH YOU!!! It’s a HUGE MISTAKE to ever think that just because you’re paying top dollar that you’re getting the best!!!!

Does having textured hair potentially effect hair transplants? For example, when the donor follicles are taken and put into their new place, can the direction of the follicle potentially change the curl pattern in that new area? Obviously he keeps his hair pretty short, so it might not show, but especially with type 4 coily hair, I’d be curious to know if that effects how the curl pattern would look if it were grown out.

Always been a fan of Jamie growing up. I'm actually 10 months in after my DHI hair transplant procedure. Looks like I will be going in for a 2nd procedure for eyebrows and correcting anything that might look unnatural from my first surgery.

@@Tracey313 yes you can. My friend just did hers on Sunday, 5 days ago in Turkey. They took 1000 grafts from the back of her head.

I dont agree with a lot of what the surgeon says. When you get a haircut the barber is expert at lining the front and sides of the forehead. Imo it just looks like his hairline has just been freshened up using a razor or trimmer.

Hey dr Gary been hooked on your content lately I hope In the future you do more videos on womens hair transplants and hair loss I genetically have thin hair and have always suffered from hair loss at such a young age😞 I would love to see you do videos on maybe female celebrities who you think have had transplants done!

I think you should've done this video with a black hair barber, you'd get a much clearer picture. A bad barber can drastically mess up your hairline like trim it in such a a way it looks high, and if you don't let your hair grow out and keep getting cuts, you can for years look like you have a high hairline. Until you let it grow and go to a good barber. I've had this issue with my sides and forehead hairline.

If Jamie himself didn't divulge this information, then why is his hairline being evaluated and your unproven assessment put out on social media? Oh I get it, we are so newsy (even I looked at some of it), and this video is monetized. Actually no, I don't get it.

Thank you for saying that. My thoughts as well. Why do everything have to be fair game when it comes to social media? This is not everyone business.

@@marilyn8653... and many of these comments are like "Wow this guy knows what he is talking about". Yeah right, did he do the surgery? I now see the thumbnail about Lebron James hairline from this same youtuber, but I will not click on it. Just a bunch of more bull lol.

I think Jamie just has some really good hairpieces/wigs. He is rich so he has enough money to have a new one made whenever he wants. I remember for a while he was definitely wearing a hairpiece that you could see. Just look at some of his appearances on late night TV. I think over the years they have gotten better and found the optimal look for him so the hairpieces look better and more natural. It is really hard for me to believe that his hair now is a transplant. Black people's hair is much curlier in the back than it is in the front. That's why Lebron's transplant always looks curly and messy after a game. Jamie Foxx's hair has been consistent for the last 10 years or so. I think it's a wig.

Killing it! This channel is awesome. Do you have a video on median cost by state or general for fut/fue? Like per 500 or 1000 grafts.

Hi, Dr.Gary. I just watched the Janet Jackson Doc on Lifetime, and I'm confused. Can you please do an analysis of her nose? I know that she had her nose done at least once when she was about 18, and it always looked great all throughout the years. I just saw her for the first time on TV in about 10 years, and I'm confused as to what happened? It appears that she has pretty bad alar retraction now? Did this happen because she went in for a second, or third nose job during the past 10 years possibly? Thanks!

Hey Doc....watch a few of the hair styling vids for black males. They use an airbrush along the front edge of the hairline to define the outline. Pretty commonplace now.

I don’t think Jamie has always had the hair transplant. Over the years at some points it had to be a non permanent enhancement. You can tell because it’s unnaturally dark and it’s never long. If you look at his hair line in his movies in the early 2000’s like “Ray” or “collateral”. His hairline was further down, then go look at “Django” which was years later. His hairline is back to his original in that film. There pictures that show him on the red carpet premiere with an entire different hairline then what was in the film.
