What if you could decide how you’re going to age, and possibly push back the clock on your final days?
Well, my guest says that you CAN.
In fact, he believes that thanks to advancements in genetic insights, chronic disease can be “optional”.
He’s Kashif Khan, CEO and Founder of The DNA Company - the world’s leading functional genomics researcher.
The DNA Company aims to prevent chronic illness by helping patients understand the impact of their environment, nutrition, and lifestyle choices on their genetic predispositions.
On this episode, Kashif and I dive into the various areas of your life that are impacted by genetics, and explain why your DNA could be the key to unlocking the truth behind a host of other issues that affect sleep, nutrition, immunity, and more.
This episode will inspire you to develop simple habits to “hack” your DNA and transform your life.
On this episode you’ll learn:
What genes are (and how to “hack your body” to help reduce your risk predisposed diseases)
How having THIS gene could potentially extend your life by YEARS (and what to do if you don’t)
The easy change you can make to your diet to help reduce your risk of developing alzhiemers
Why you LOCATION may be lowering your dopamine levels (and how to determine what environment your DNA will thrive in)
3 simple steps you can take from home to change your fate of chronic diseases
Why the DNA Company is unlike EVERY other genetics test - and how it can help YOU support your health
What doctors are getting ALL wrong about medicine (and how you can unlock the “hidden information” in your body to transform your health)
How tailoring your diet to your genes may help you become your healthiest self - and the first step to take
How to determine if your body may be absorbing too many toxins (and how to support your gut health by understanding this ONE gene)

For a retiree in South Africa $50 off is a month's wages for some people - so heaven help us the real number. Then we have no postal service that works to receive a collection kit to send back and then get results back. So sadly, no hope for us here :-(

I'm 55 and have eaten onions since I was a child. I actually crave them daily and have onion sandwiches alot. I introduced raw garlic into my diet about 20 years ago. My health is pretty good. Ive had my downs with health and reversed everything on my own with out medication. I used herbs, healthy foods, vitamin D and get into the sun. I went from a eGfr of 41% and it took me almost 2 years but I got it up to 90% eGfr. I know it fluctuates daily but its held steady around 90 for a while now. Anyway... I believe that onions and garlic are a cure for many health issues. It works for me.

I enjoyed this video, however, I have a problem with the company, simply put, you get a genetic report that tells you what you're susceptible to, but the company doesn't tell you the kinds of things that you should do to stay healthy, a clinician can get a summary, no idea how detailed, or prescriptive, or helpful the summary is, or you can hire one of their coaches after paying a lot of money for this test, this seems like a way to just make more money and keep people addicted to thejr program, especially since their "coaches" can get the information about you, but you can't. I was all in until this last part.

When my wife and I started Lectin free July 2021, we both found real positive results - and have continued to find eating this way works well for me. But my wife found after a month or so her constipation came back. So I guess we need to figure out how to help her to "normal"...

Hi Dr. Gundry! I am a huge fan of yours! I have read all of your books and listen to your podcast regularly! I have been on the PP protocol for three years and I am thrilled with my health results! Thanks for sharing your amazing work! I have a 2-pronged question about bone broth: First, I have heard you talk about setting a goal of breaking a fast with only one macro nutrient (such as protein, carb or fat) in order to get your mitochondria off to a good start for the day. So if I break my fast with bone broth (20 grams of protein) will this suffice as my first "meal" (stand-alone protein) to later be followed by a meal of "mixed macro nutrients," or do I still need to follow up with a stand-alone solid food macro next? And second, does drinking two servings of bone broth (20 grams protein and 90 calories) actually break a fast? Thanks so much for all you do!

My food pref is veggies and fruits. My family likes roasts and things like that and i always hated it. I get sick once every 10 years and I have so far avoided most my families issues, high blood pressure, early heart disease, high cholesterol, etc. Not that I have none from other lifestyle choices, but it must have helped. My family members who had early heart attacks (in 30s) still ate McDonalds every day and have all hit 90s. scares me to live that old its kind of doomsday coming and knowing it is

Well, low carb might be still extremely beneficial for you. There are multiple layers of metabolism that respond to nutrition. Also fasting patterns trigger various levels of autophagy. Additionally, there're many versions of low carb/keto - like carnivore or eating with seasons (i.e. berries in summer, nuts in winer...)

Carbs = sugar = diabetic What ur body craves is amino acids and enzymes this way build... And we absorb nutrition (these are mostly found in raw eggs, meat (not too cooked) , milk and cheese, olive oil a tiny bit in nuts) problem is vegetarian kills us

Hi Dr. Gundry, thanks for all your amazing content. I have one question. I saw you recommended millet but when I search on Google "millet side effects" I get plenty of results saying it contaisn a lot of oxalates. What do you think about oxalates? Are they bad? Why do you think lectins are much worse than oxalates? Thanks!
