She has young looks and a high pitched, girly voice, which meant she looked and sounded like a child in Terminator: Genisys. That's even though she was roughly the same age as Linda Hamilton was when she played Sarah in the original film. Terrible casting. I feel badly for her, because she's a decent actress (unlike Sophie Turner, whose ubiquitous presence in celebrity gossip columns and continued presence in movies and TV shows I just fail to understand) who deserves roles better suited to her. Dany was an outlier role for someone like Emilia Clarke - a once-in-a-career character.

Because this basically tells me that this adaptation will once again focus on the whiny "Survivor" TR crying about daddy and her annoying sidekicks like Jooooonaaah! Apart from that Turner really has little range as an actress. She was mildly bland in GOT. Horribly miscast as Jean Grey and strangely enough when I picture LC I still think of Angelina Jolie or even the last chick that was cast in that film based on the new games. Seriously though this casting is a joke. Hayley Atwell would've been considerably better. The problem why Lara Croft wont work is the character is designed to be a sexy action hero. Theyll take the sexiness away to appease "modern audiences" that pretty much kills 90% of the buzz. Theyll then make it drawn out and dull which will eliminate another 5% of those left and instead of Lara Croft being charming, witty and desirable theyll make her an insufferable girl boss who will belittle every single man she comes across. This will take away anyone else left.

Wonder if they should have gone with her in green makeup as She Hulk (would find a smaller actor with similar facial features for non-Hulk Jennifer). If you're producing a LaraCroft movie, the order of priority for necessary traits in an actress should be: 1) Confidence. She makes her own fate, doesn't take crap. 2) Brown Hair With A Braid. Can be dyed but still vital. 3) Athleticism. Must convincingly climb a rope or do martial arts. 4) Lips and Eyebrows. For the classic look. 5) Boobs. Nothing wrong with a busty actress to complete the classic silhouette. In my opinion none of the casting choices have more than 2 of these traits. Here is my quick list: The "Too Old But Gold" category: Hailey Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Kate Beckinsale. Here is a more realistic shortlist: Eiza Gonzalez, Grace Caroline Curry, Alexandra Daddario, Kaya Scodelario. And although they are blondes, I think Vanessa Kirby or Jodie Comer would work.

Having not seen any of the tv shows that Richard Madden starred in post-GOT, it is my opinion that the biggest and best role he had post-GOT was as Prince Kit (i.e., Prince Charming) in Disney’s live-action remake of Cinderella. Even though a Disney fairytale might be considered a step down from the gritty fantasy of GOT, Cinderella (2015) is considered one of - if not the - only good Disney live-action remakes. However, it is probably how Disney got the inside line to wrangle him into doing The Eternals, so maybe it was a bad choice after all.
