I race Formula Vees in Texas! It's by far the best entry level open wheel racing in the country. Easy to maintain and you can drive the piss out of them. Because of the low-ish cost they usually have big fields as long as its with a vintage racing club like CVAR or VSCDA. The SCCA Vees kind of struggle to get big fields for various reasons but you can buy a vee for $6K-$15K. You could actually rent one in the club I race in for like $1500 and do a full race weekend as long as you show a decent amount of competence in the driving school.

Awesome, I used to help build these for a Vee racing team over here in the UK. Interesting how they keep those front uprights on the main beam in the US version. Also worth pointing out that it is not an easy task to drive one of these at 100%, they have a tendency to bite mid corner depending on your chassis and set up and unlike Formula Ford you don't really have the power to ride it out if it does.

Still cool, but it would have been even cooler if it was a race. And now that you races on the POCONO ROVAL, you can tell us if it would be good for nascar to race on the ROVAL one day and the Truancal the other.

this wasn't the Roval, it was just a small course in the infield. more suited towards karts. that being said, the actual Roval *could* have potential with some tweaks, but then the issue of where to put camping & such comes up.
