I skip my evening meal and eat a protein and essential fat breakfast. I eat sooo healthy and learned much of it from you and Jordan. Also, my dear mother taught me how to eat well. I'll be 67 on the 10th, I'm 5'4" 122lbs and zero need for meds. Thank you Dr. Axe

I went to a hotel at a lake once to pray and fast (and read the bible) for a whole 2 days (3 was too hard at the time) and I had a breakthrough that I didn't even pray about. It was regarding an addiction I had (not drugs or alcohol) but it was life changing. And it was a healthy bone broth fast modeled after Dr. Axe's videos. I hope this encourages someone out there to do the same.

This is my first video that I’ve seen from Dr Axe. Thanks for this video and also including the spiritual part of fasting and scriptural references. I’m also a Christian and feel the need to unite my fasting to my Christian faith. This video helps me to be aware of this. I’ve been fasting on and off for the past 3 years and really enjoy it. Mostly I do OMAD fasting and eat a hole food plant based diet about 95% of every week. I’ve really seen tremendous achievements in lowering blood pressure and LDL and chorlesterol and blood sugar as well as weight maintenance. What I love about fasting and WFPB eating is the decrease in inflammation especially in the mid section or belly section of the body. This video is encouraging me to unite my fasting with my prayer life especially with financial challenges for my family in our business pursuits. Thanks Dr Axe! I’ll check out your other videos too.

I am a triathlete, and I work out fasted most days. I did not do this when I first started fasting. I have been doing 16:8 or 18: 6 most days for over 4 years. It was probably after a year that I started doing most of my workouts fasted. I fast for health.

Well said Dr Axe, preachers can’t preach on this without offending half of the church. Thank you for being bold and saying what needs to be said in today’s world.

just did my longest, 6 day water only/absolute fast and I enjoy 1 day a week fast on average. 2 sleep cycles and 1 full day gets me close to 48 hrs. per week, 😊works for my body. Dr. Axe, I'm curious what happens at different hour intervals... in general. Any other day/time milestones have you learned about? Thanks for mentioning the 48 hour milestone

QUESTION: does fasting ruien womans hormones? Do we have to fast differently than men?
@hioka93155 ай бұрын
No there is no difference only if you are not in post and pre pregnancy phase !!
@JuleD1074 ай бұрын
Dr. Mindy Pelz has some great information about fasting for women! We definitely have to fast differently than men. For example she doesn’t recommend fasting in the days leading up to menstruation in order to let progesterone levels rise.
@laceyrushworth98234 ай бұрын
@@JuleD107 okay and the rest of the time I can fast however I want?
@intentionallymade4 ай бұрын
Definitely follow Dr Mindy Pelz. There are certain times when to fast and how long based off what she’s researched and done with her women patients. We have completely different makeup and most testing has been done on men. No fasting week before cycle begins. She also discusses ketobiotic diet while fastinf phases and feasting during progesterone phase. Her book is worth getting.
