Dr Sarah Myhill ( in the UK) believes chronic fatigue relates to an ability to metabolize glucose as an energy source. Her protocol is to adopt a ketogenic diet. She has a book "Paleo Keto" for anybody interested. She has a number of videos on KZbin too.
@yeseniarobles42894 жыл бұрын
When you’re sick your immune system turns on, when it’s turned on your body slows down because its focusing it’s energy where it needs to be in order to heal you. When you eat things that make you sick the same thing is triggered, that is why you get lazy after a meal. Food should NEVER make you feel lazy, it should be the complete opposite, we should eat for energy,

@@yeseniarobles4289 Carbs release serotonin that is nature's tranquiliser. People eat to calm themselves as much as anthing...which is why going low carb can make people edgy at first because they aren't getting the soothing effect of the carbs. Conversely you could eat a ton of pasta and simply want to sleep.

@@yeseniarobles4289 I'm not arguing for a low carb or high carb diet. I'm a pragmatist. If it works for you, it works. I mentioned Dr Myhill because she specifically works with chronic fatigue sufferers. Her thesis is that the mitochondria in those people are not accessing energy generated by glucose. There are others who support her ideas. Many people on Keto diets, once adapted, mention improved and long lasting energy. As far as high carb diets, maybe they work in the absence of high corn syprup drinks, high oxidised vegetable oils and a host of other factors that might induce insulin resistance.
