I thing the best story for the cancelled game would have been where we play as Sweet Johnson after CJ left and find out what caused their brother to die in the story and when CJ left we could have seen how the Grove Street gang collapsed and how sweet managed to handle the situation and we could have also probably seen their mothers death in the story which caused CJ to return

The story should have been where the ly explore the rise of the best character...Zero. The rivalry between him and his arch nemesis Berkley was never explained. You could have just had RC fights and do missions with his technology

I’m really glad we never got an official game that told the backstory of GTA SA. The mystery behind the untold stories keeps fans talking and helps the community grow. However, I wish they had included LS gangs but from different states, like a Balla set from Liberty City, to make it feel more realistic. I do love the unique gangs they created for each city, but a more authentic gang expansion would have been interesting. If they had made a GTA: San Andreas Stories, I would have enjoyed following the Triads as they fell and then regained their power with CJ's help. There’s a lot we didn’t get to see, like their fights with the Da Nang Boys, Woozie Mu getting his ''Gift'' and other gangs they could have met in different states or cities within San Andreas.

There is a mod called "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Stories - Episode 1: Los Santos Stories" by the Kishinev Group. This particular story takes place in 1987 and involves Brian Johnson. There was supposed to be a part 2 & 3, but those have yet to be developed. Either way, I'll totally check out this one.

Honestly, whatever the story might have been, we can all agree that another game set in the state of San Andreas would have been AMAZING. I still remember the days of people speculating that we are getting the San Andreas map in HD for GTA V, so I think that tells you how much another piece of art set in the fictional state of San Andreas was sought after. But, hey, It is what it is, modders in the end will make the community whole.

I really love this SAS mod bruh, it definitely would've been very interesting to see what rockstar intended SAS story to be like which possibly would've been released in '07 or '08 if the limitations weren't there but this is an amazing concept seeing cesar side of the coin going from los santos to angel pine to san fierro etc. He definitely was an interesting character.

Rockstar Games has made a prequel to GTA San Andreas, it's called GTA SA The Introduction. A short film made with the ingame engine showing the events that happened just days before CJ came back to Grove Street. Tenpenny and Pulaski taking Hernandez into the force, Big Smoke and Ryder talking about how they're betraying Grove Street, Salvatore making a deal with Jimmy for the Caligula's Casino and so on.

I think we would have 3 protagonists, Brian, Ceasar, and Sweet. For Brian, we will start with him first and play how his death was organized considering that we havent seen him at all, next or during brians story we will play as ceasar and find out how we was with the aztecas in the first place and how he met kendl. Finally, after brian dies and the story will be heavily focused on sweet and shows hows he manages grove street and the real killers of CJ's mom.

Crazy how Chinatown Wars failed so much. I really enjoyed it. Had some sick features aswell, especially if you were playing on the Nintendo DS. Stealing cars, looking in dumpsters and finding weapons or drugs to sell and more all while using the stylus on the bottom screen. Memories 🔥

Well for San Andreas Stroies i hope for an aggressive protagonist that would experience the initial chaos of San Andreas such as facing gangsters and Tenpenny's corrupt police units in Los Santos, dealing with T-Bone Mendez and newly formed Loco Syndicate in San Fierro, working temporarily for the Mafia(Leone or Sindacco) in Las Venturas and have a good ending or staying low in Countryside after Final Mission

Vice city was meant as a dlc to GTA III so it was quite short. Which is why they made VCStories so the game feels more whole and connected to OG vice city. Liberty City Stories is similar with giving more context to the GTA III characters like Tony Cipriani and also adding more clothes, cars, safe houses with interiors, which GTA iii was missing. San Andreas was quite a long game and the characters were more fleshed out already in San Andreas so adding more to the game seemed pointless if they did SA Stories. Everything in San Andreas was already explained so not much to build on overall.

First of all, why people think that there even could have been a San Andreas Stories game? Like, there is no evidence nor leaks that would prove that Rockstar did developed it at some point or even considered doing so at all. So why people keep thinking that there could have been San Andreas Stories, I have no idea. Like, I'm 100% sure that Rockstar never even considered of developing one because why would they, if they had, like you said, a PS3 back then on the horizon? It wouldn't make any sense, sticking to a old game instead of making a completely new next gen game. And second, that fan made mod looks cool. I saw it like what, 3 years ago, maybe more, when it only started to be made. And by looking at the footage, the protagonist doesn't look like Cezar. He look like his brother from that one cutscene in the main game. You know, the one that insulted CJ. But hey, the mod looks cool. I'm looking forward to play it and I hope that it releases soon.

GTA 3 and VC on PC were only on 2CDs and had for its time high quality textures where LCS and VCS had low quality textures so I don't think there was no need for any special compression.

Most of these games size is actually audio, back in the day you could find rips of GTA III with cut out all sounds and they were just ~300MB. Even san andreas without sounds is less than 2GB big, cut in half from original size. And even though all of those games had strongly compressed audio, LCS and VCS audio was even lower quality, I'm not sure if that was just to reduce game size, because it also may be to minimize CPU usage or improve world streaming speed, but they did compress it further for PSP.

EA bought RenderWare in 2004 if I had to guess that could've also played a role in not creating a San Andreas Stories. It also could be the reason why we got such terrible definitive editions of GTA. Just a guess. Note: I discovered EA allowed other companies who used RenderWare before the purchase to be able to use it again honoring old contracts.

Now for the main character 1)Big bear 2) sweet 3) big devil 4) lil devil 5) tony 3- 5 are some GSF og's we never see but they die from set tripping ( in gang fighting) after cj left . 6) ceser vilapando 7) jose ( ceaser vilpando friend who threatened cj at the low rider meet up and got beat up and nearly killed by t-bone mendez In the special edition) Now in my own personal idea not so much of a gta san Andreas stories but a gta san Andreas aftermath It takes place in 1995 yoy play as an azteca voiced by toker from brownside aka Gilbert Izquierdo But in real life he is dead and worked with the late Eazy E .... His character would have less morale than CJ . San Andreas aftermath would also give closurer on what happened to ceaser vilapando friend name hazer who got injured in one of the final missions where they take back a barrio/varrio from the los santos vagos .

Or SA stories could follow the story of Brian and how he died or the story of T-bone Mendez and how Mike toreno and the CIA used him and his gang to smuggle and sell drugs in SA or it could follow the story of how Las Venturas was built and controlled by the mob there was a lot of wasted potential for SA stories SA had the most diverse realistic culture types from any gta game because it felt real the stories and the gangs in 3D gta games felt much more realistic than gta v, gta v felt like the most unrealistic story of all gta games up until now and gta iv was the darkest story up until now but gta v eeehhhhh idk just doesn't seem realistic enough

Why i wouldn't want a SA stories: - a game based on SA where you can do less thsn in SA is deceiving - no way the whole map could fit (either only LS and Red County or all 3 cities without country/desert reachable by airport) - it wouldn't be on PC anyway Why i would've wanted one: - Set while CJ was away - Brian as protagonist (CJ's brother) and his story, which was not deeply explained in SA - There would be CJ's mom, Sweet, Kendl, OG Loc, Ryder and Smoke

Most likely when big bear was in his prime who experienced most of what happened and may even know who killed CJs mum. It's not all doom and gloom. Obviously we would be in Los Santos strictly but maybe we fly to those places for missions like when we went to liberty City for Salvatore. That actually sounds cool. Maybe even a visit to Vice City helping Phil or Cam with something.
