Question: is my understanding of physics incorrect, or is it, in fact, wrong that the crate seemingly slowed down after it´s collision with the asteroid around 13:40? (I mean, yes, the collision with the asteroid would slow it down, but afterwards.)
@thatoneleftist4 жыл бұрын
I’m rusty on my kinematics, but I think the expectation is that some kinetic energy would be lost in a collision, and if the mass of the asteroid is much greater than the mass of the container, the asteroid wouldn’t move much vs. the movement of the container. Internet, please correct me if I’m not remembering correctly haha
@gamer_eza474 жыл бұрын
@@thatoneleftist Correctly some of the speed and thus kinetic energy would be converted and speed up the asteroid while slowing down the crate, proportional to mass relation. The crate would have to loose a lot of speed on impact and the asteroid gain a little. But neither of them should slow down while not hitting anything. Or at least not as much as that.

If I got the initial video correctly, some human minds were transferred into them, so you'll probably need more humans to get more drones, in this games lore. But actually, the idea of drones is based on swarm-intelligence, as observed in birds and fish. Each individual has the brain-capacity they have, but they react to their neighbor, creating the swarm-behavior we see. So if they gave you the ability to produce more drones, they could just replicate them, since they'd already do their own thinking.

So they're limited to their 32k uploaded souls, unless they figure out a way to copy/paste those souls, then we would have entered ethics territory. But if they settle for less advanced drones, since they seemed a pretty cyberpunky civilization already, they could have 32k "human drones" each commanding, let's say a thousand drones, then you'd have 32 million tiny robots assisted by 32 thousand super robots... That's kinda scary, huh PS: also, the game is very GPU intensive already and I don't even think they actually render 32k drones but the number there is just for storytelling
