Excellent video!! Great advice. One other strategy is perform the encounter solo, no allies to buff, thus no prompt for his legendary action 😉

standing on top of the rafters and then using your legendary "yeet" shove attack into the abyss works wonders. With Hill giant potion, you get a 75% chance.

Ironically I did this fight right before patch 6, and now that I’m about halfway through act 3 this was still the closest I came to dying in the honor run.

Whenever i watch these video’s all their hits land, and percentages seem high. Mine never land and am always at like 55% chance. 😭

Can u give enemies legendary on custom mode without playing in honor mode

The only way to do that is to start in honour mode, party wipe, and then continue. This lets you change the custom options, although you will still be stuck with a single save as that option cannot be changed once a game is started.

I just put two explosive barrels next to him and in the center of the goblin group and the fight is much easier :)

Yeah, completely understandable, I avoided many fights in act 3 in my first honour mode run!

Never got him to use it cause on both of the occasions I fought him (alone and in co-op) we just solved the encounter with barrelmancy

You can absolutely demolish this entire area with Astoria alone hanging up there. I’ve done in done the rest on the Goblin village and Grymforge in the same manner

That works for a lot of the game since you only need to have a single person to hide from the enemies.

I usually just hitman him by luring him and a few guards to the wooden platform with minor illusion then shooting the platform, sending them into the abyss.

This guy ended my first honor mode run because I forgot you can get locked into a fight with him using bad rolls... had a level 3 party who got absolutely stomped

Yeah, it's risky going to speak to him without being prepared for a fight.

Easiest way to solve this fight (and many many others) is Hunger of Hadar. Enemies cannot deal with it
