Videos like these make me regret not getting a gr86. May not be the fastest, but they seem so fun. Not to metion it seems like parts are cheaper, especially wheels in 17's. Idk, happy to have an awesome sports car, but that feeling is there

As in which I prefer? The type R. Overall performance, utility, value, reliability (RTV issue in the GR86), and even aesthetics (though that is subjective). The GR86 was fun to drive and a nice change of pace. It does do some things better like steering feel, throttle response, and overall liveliness. But the Type R outperforms it any day, while also being more reliable and usable.

Glad you're enjoying it. Don't get me wrong I still prefer my type R for overall performance, utility, value, and even looks; but the GR86 was a ton of fun to drive and a nice change of pace, and does do some things better like steering feel, throttle response, and overall liveliness

@@PhyFK8 add Honda reliability to that list. That’s funny my ‘13 Frs had better steering feel than my 22 gr86. It felt less numb, took a little more weight to steer, sharper, like a razor knife. One thing I really like about Honda is their clutch engagement and shifter feel. I had an rsx type s and til this day I’ve never driven a car with such smooth shifting.

​@@zenkijoe9022 yeah the RTV issue makes the GR86's reliability questionable too which is a shame. I've heard that the old model's steering is better as well, but this one I drove was on KW suspension and performance alignment so I'm sure that had a big part in why its steering was so good. Yupp honda's shifter feel can't be beat outside of Porsche
