Excellent and very very educational, empowering , motivating and doable to improve gut health. Powerful teaching and DrPal does not suffer from “ God Complex” as a Dr and treats his guest with professional attitude and respectful of her expertise . Indians being undermuscled and protein deficient is a huge danger for India’s future and as a race. The religious right wing policing protein and banning it will create a nation of under developed nation and 20 years later India will not be a vibrant powerhouse whether vegetarian or not. This is about nutrition not religion. The Indian diet is a carbetarian diet regardless of being vegetarian or not , Muslim or Hindu, rich or poor, Brahmin or not!

this is the best thing i watched this entire year. i struggle with tellng my aging parents about nutrition and balanced diet. Everytime i get shunned. My parents are the text book example of everything that is discussed with declining muscle mass, over abusing carb eating, sweets, even too much home made muruku is shit for health. rice eating 3 times and 3 courses everyday - rasam, samabar, and curd. too much coconut in every single poriyal. resistance towards accepting the role of protein and thinking bowl of daal is enough protein for their weight / height.

@@jaysrithangam2794 don’t fall for new age research that is half baked. I prefer vegetarian and I have no problems with it. I guess sangeetha has been funded by some vested interests to turn traditional vegetarian food habits on its head. Vegetarian protein is abundant and more than enough.

@@jaysrithangam2794 I’m not sure how old you are but totally agree! I’m in my 70s and have this nightmare vegetarian, too much carb society around me as siblings and friends. I’ve always followed the high fibre and high protein diet for as long as I can remember and struggle to make them understand. I’m a medical doctor and so are the people around me! Some of them as young as early 40s. About 90% of them have( a few of)diabetes, high cholesterol and BP and also triple bypass, stent and what not. Luckily I’m in good health and No medications and now they’ve started noticing this. They wonder how I’m running around looking after my house, 1 acre garden and grand kids and go on hikes and have had No servants in 50 yrs! I’ve just about managed to make my siblings eat eggs and vegetables for a late breakfast after fasting. It’s a major achievement 😃. We just have to persevere and lead by example ( by then it’s too late sadly). Good diet also makes you look 20 yrs or more younger and live a fantastic quality of life. Good luck with your efforts.👏 Making them exercise is a whole different nightmare story 😂

Saw her first time in a Telugu interview a few months ago. I was flabbergasted to see someone advocate and endorse a Non Vegetarian diet. As an Indian Im used to people seeing meat as a forbidden diet. But it is always nice to listen and understand new perspectives rather than getting offended which is very common in us Indians if someone is against your opinion/belief. They are not offending you, they are putting forward their experience/opinion/reasearch data/knowledge. We can follow if we like or can just ignore. We don't need to get offended and start abusing them or start name calling them. Chill out folks.

After seeing her, i did not listen to the podcast. I commented stating what take away points we can take if she speaks only non veg is thr main source. I liked the other vegetaRian nutrinists stating 3 grains and 3 pulses. Before listening to this i commented later i felt so bad , after i listen to the entire podcast. As the entire podcast is related to fibre. Thankyou so much once again. I never miss your podcasts. Sorry for what I commented earlier. You have that feeling that everyone has to take care of their health, which always makes you a good person in helping the common audience understands how to take care of once own health. Thankyou so much again. Your parents are so blessed to have you as a child.

The Indian subcontinent is rich in diversity, with each state having distinct climatic conditions. Based on my understanding, every region has its unique food culture shaped by its climate, which might also influence or adapt to the prevalent body types in that area. In such a scenario, how should one maintain a balanced intake of protein, carbohydrates, and fats? In India, diet planning is often considered only after significant weight gain, primarily to burn excess fat, rather than as a preventive measure. I count myself among those who fall into this category and enjoy self-criticism. Taking all these factors into account, what should an average Indian do to maintain overall fitness in a sustainable and balanced way?
