I've had Meniere's disease for about 4 yrs now with constant nonstop tinnitus. As of the last few months the ringing has been the worst, to the point I couldn't hear at all out of my right ear. The ringing is so loud it's truly driving me crazy. I watched this video and the exercise of using your index finger to flick at the back of your head helped so so much. It hasn't completely stopped but it's certainly much quieter. I'm sitting in tears that for a moment in 4 yrs my life seems so much quieter. Thank you for this blessing ♡

@@moonscrafts8987 It is the exercise where you put your hands at the back of your head and then let your fingers slip off each other to make a knocking sound just below that skull bone. It also took my tinnitus away, but it returned after 3 days. So I will now continue plus will do all the other exercises as well.

Even though I have been doing the exercise you mentioned for only two days, I got very successful results from the first minute. I've been suffering from depression-related tinnitus for 22 years, I can't thank you enough. God bless you.

Wow! I've had mild and sporadic tinnitus for 37 years which never bothered me. But a week ago it ramped up to loud and constant throughout the day. Very difficult to fall asleep. One night I couldn't stand it and needed a break so I got up and ate 2 slices of bread and marmelade - while I was eating i suddenly noticed that the tinnitus had disappeared!! It slowly came back but only slightly and i fell asleep. This made me wonder if it was the movement of my jaw which had somehow influenced the tinnitus. Imagine then my surprise when I stumbled on this video, where several of the exercises are centered near the 'hinge' of the jaw, just in front of the ear! i did a couple of them straightaway for only a few seconds and noticed an immediate change in the volume level, so I'm taking this seriously and am going to do these exercises properly from today. THANK YOU SO MUCH! 😀

Thank you Dr. Rowe. I've had tinnitus for over 30 years, and it stopped momentarily in both ears during the 2nd exercise. This might be unrealistic, but I'd appreciate you offering an exercise channel and lead the entire round of each exercise, as if you were leading a class. It would definitely help us seniors, and also people from each generation. It's wonderful to know the names of each muscle the exercise is helping. The more I learn about my body, the better care I can give it. You're an excellent instructor.

It's kind of the same for me but it never last more than 10 to 30 seconds which is very frustrating. The vibration always comes back so quickly. Did you find a way to make the effect last in time?
@NorthPoleJeff Жыл бұрын
@@VideoGammerMan Thank you very much for making this comment. Mine last for about five minutes. But, my right ear isn't as loud anymore, I think. I believe that the truth is that something in my diet makes the big difference. I don't know what it is, but on some days I have almost no ringing in my ears and some days it's really loud. No other factors seem to control this and I really think that it is diet.
@VideoGammerMan Жыл бұрын
@@NorthPoleJeff Thank you for your answer. It's the same for me, it really depends on days or moments of days. Sometimes it randomly stops for a few minutes. I never thought about diet though, my theory is more regarding stress or tension in the cervicals or in the jaw. I think about it because I noticed very hot water often calms it down, and visiting an osteopath helped for a time, then it came back. As of now the mystery remains.
@NorthPoleJeff Жыл бұрын
@@VideoGammerMan I never thought about it being stress. I'm a senior citizen and at times, a severely disabled veteran. In my disabled times I can do nothing at all, not even talk on the phone for more than a few minutes. Then when I'm feeling better, I have to catch up with all of the stress things that have accumulated over the months that I have been down. The stress may be the cause, I will start following that thought, you may be absolutely right. Thank you and have a nice day.

3:12 - To add to this exercise I also tried placing my thumbs on the tragus on both ears, gently pushed them inward blocking yr ear canals, (essentially the same thing he does with his palms, just with yr thumbs) & moving them counter clockwise while hearing/ feeling a “popping” sound/ sensation, in conjunction with his exercise has really made a significant impact of relief of the ringing noise! It was almost euphoric I might add. I could see how most people would automatically assume this is all “gimmicky”, & while it doesn’t provide a “long term” solution, it does provide a significant amount of relief! Especially when yr ear has been ringing for a few days, receiving even a few minutes of relief is worth it 110%‼️

Great tips! I tried, sadly it didn’t work, but it helped release pressure and what you were describing interestingly is exactly what’s happening to me. I have pain in my jaw and this ringing started while I was really stressed 2 days ago on my computer. I noticed when using a q-tip, and clean out wax I felt my ear get muffled like sticky closed as I think I push some wax by accident (does that come back out naturally?). So I don’t know if it’s from sinus with stress or infection. Might need to see a doctor, but I’ll keep trying this. Thank you 🙏🏼
