I have TMJ and I can’t begin to describe how much this helped me. I sometimes get flare ups from an old blunt force injury; I can usually manage with the typical home care measures but this time around was a different story. I had been in so much pain to the point I couldn’t chew, had difficulty speaking - which was impacting my job performance- and when the joint would slip I felt nauseous from the electric pain. My jaw felt like it was close to locking at times because it would stick. I was seriously considering calling my pcp because I haven’t had an episode like this in a while. Within 5 minutes I got so much relief, it went from a 8/10 pain to a 4/10. I’m still going to follow up with my pcp but the level of relief was so incredible. I can now open my jaw wider and can feel my muscles relax. I feel relaxed enough that I can finally sleep. I know it’s long winded but I truly can’t thank you enough.

Those first couple massages are absolute gold. They feel incredible. I've been focusing a lot on massaging my neck near my jaw because I realized the connection between neck pain and jaw pain, but I never found a good way to massage the jaw muscles directly before. I've broken several teeth through excessive clenching....all chronic tension needs attention, but jaws are strong and when they get tense they can cause a significant amount of self-injury. This has to be my favorite video of his yet for how useful it is

@@mytravls thanks for your concern! I hope you feel better as well! No work anxiety as my work is pretty chill. I’ve always had migraines for the past 5-6 years but I know for a fact that getting my teeth extracted made it worse. On top of that, they had to pull out an extra tooth beside my wisdom tooth because somehow the crown broke off… this resulted in having an extra 1 hr long oral surgery which I know strained my jaw even more. I was awake during the whole thing so I could tell how strained it was gonna be. Work doesn’t help as well cause it’s a desk job and I’m looking down at documents for a long time too. There’s a bunch of other things but it will be too long of a comment 😂!

I am not gonna lie to you: I've been suffering from this for decades and my doctors never caught it. I thought i was having chronic sinus infections/problems my entire military career. The doctors always told me it wasn't my sinuses but also couldn't figure out what my problem was. I went for a supposed sinus problem a month ago and a civilian doctor told me it's not my sinuses it was my jaw muscles spasming. He prescribed muscle relaxants and i was averse to taking them at first but it helped. I looked up what could be doing this to me and found this video and the first five minutes did more for me than a month of doctor's appointments. Thank you.

Just found you on youtube (since we dropped Comcast) and have been watching all your videos!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I have suffered from horrible TMJ pain for at least 30 years, off and on. I have had several night guards that I end up taking out in the middle of the night because they annoy me and disturb my already poor sleep. This year, the pain I experience is now radiating in my right eyebrow and behind my eye. I run my finger from the inner side of my nose up and across my eyebrow to get relief, but that's not enough. I think this is related to the TMJ, however I did have shingles in my eye 15 yrs ago and treated it promptly. I began thinking that my tri-geminal nerve was now creating this pain, but after doing these massages for TMJ this morning, it appears to be all connected. I'm optimistic that these massages are my lifesaver. I was ready to make an appointment at a neurologist for my eye headache; this video has given me so much relief I am amazed and so appreciative. You are so easy to listen to and apply your techniques. Keep more coming!

This helped so much! I have TMJ leftover from wisdom teeth removal, so I get days where simply closing my mouth just feels wrong and unnatural. It'll feel misaligned. The pressure from basic up-and-down motions of chewing will be agony on my teeth on these days. If I press my index fingers on either side of my jaw by my ears, I can feel both sides wiggling asymmetrically as my mouth opens. Draw a quick squiggly line on a paper and that's what's happening. It can be incredibly painful. My left side is definitely worse; I can feel it in my neck and it wraps around my collarbone. I remember my dad giving me a carpenter's bear hug so tight he actually popped my jaw. Felt great. For about 5 minutes. He basically shifted my jaw, and thus the pain to the other side. Following your movements as you went just brought literally instantaneous relief. The last one was very unpleasant, but I can't argue with the results!

Long time sufferer and my dentist has to do the pinky thing on a few occasions. My Bf just hurt his jaw and I was able to replicate my professional dentist massage using this video technique. Great tutorial…he felt much better after one session.

Bro I had ear fullness feeling for over 3 years and have tried everything. You're the first person to say to massage inside the mouth and that seemed to have done the trick! I don't feel like I have to open my jaw 24/7 now to "pop" my ears. Thank you so much! You are a life saver!

I have a long-standing problem with TMJ, and it is very serious and painful. I have watched other videos in search of help. This one is so much better. The calm and gentle manner, the patience and slowness as he explains the exercises; so helpful calming. I did the exercises with him and couldn’t believe that I got pain relief! I have been disappointed so many times by videos that offer instant help. This one came through and I have subscribed so I can’t lose track of these videos. Many blessings to all your fellow suffers and may you find relief. God bless this man!

Good lord. So much pain relief. Been in sooo much pain from TMJ and what feels like a bad tooth just like you said, only I don’t have a bad tooth. Was looking for something that makes sense, and here it is! Bookmarking this to do as a home “pt” session of sorts, to do every day for a couple of weeks. Can’t thank you enough for this, for making it so accessible. Really appreciate this!

Amazing techniques for alleviating the TMJ pain. I just developed the pain few weeks back, wasn’t sure what was going on, so I went to my GP, and he diagnosed it correctly as TMJ, and prescribed some Ibuprofen, but the pain would just come back. I am glad that I watched this video and within few minutes of watching this, I followed the exercises and felt some relief. I just wanted you thank you for putting out such an informative video.

I have been suffering from immense pain near my right ear, gums, and tongue since the last couple of months went to the dentist thought it's some cavity got RCT done no relief in pain, went to the ENT said there is nothing wrong then finally went to the neuro had MRI done they said it's Triginal Neuralgia ate 7 tablets in a day absolutely no relief. Then a dentist told me it might be TMJ, the symptoms matched mine apart from the tongue pain searched for video on pain relief from TMJ came across yours the knuckle exercise absolutely gave me instant relief I can't ever be thankful enough to you. Lots of love from India

This is what I needed! I asked if you Can do tmd excersises eh voilà.. Here they are. I'm in the midst of a huge TMD flare up and my shoulders, neck, jaw and even my eyes hurt. It's all so tight. I hate tmd and don't understand why this all of a sudden appeared. I think it was after dental work and getting a tooth pulled. I've never been the same. It comes and goes and eating can be a challenge. This is going to be very helpful. Thank you.

@@DrRowe will do! I am currently seen by a neurologist and will get a MRI because my fascial pain can excruciating. So dentist says it's TMD, but who knows it might be trigemanial neuralgia. It feels like TMD for sure. So if these excersises work, then it's prob TMD.

This video is something that I and I'm sure many others wished was available, so THANK YOU. I have grinded my teeth since I was very young. I started having tinnitus the past 28 years. I followed along with the video and at least it felt good to do these exercises. I'm no doctor but it felt as if mucus or fluid drain from Eustachian tubes in the back of my throat. Is that possible? I've booked marked this one because all ear doctors tell me there is nothing you can do for tinnitus and or ringing.

There is sonething to what your saying feel like because i have very similar thing with the mucus. When im tight and get a good stretch im clearing my throat a ton trying to get rid of it.
