That’s funny, I just bought a used Patton off Facebook, it’s my first wheel and I’m super excited to get it in. Bout to ditch onewheels for superior, well, everything

Great choice!! Although, I do love my OneWheel GT too
@ionflow1073Ай бұрын
I don't mind riding solo because I mostly use my wheel for utilitarian purposes with an element of excitement as an added bonus. I really enjoy the power it gives me to get around town quickly and freely on the cheap.

#doublevision I went through the stage of selling all my EUCs (I had 4) and just riding ebikes. I lasted about 3 months then wanted to be back on an EUC! I now have a MTen5 and an ET Max. Looking at something like a Patton or T4 Max for my offroad wheel.

The major problem with my Patton is that it is still meeting all my needs after a year of ownership and there is no need to buy a newer model. Saying that I wish the charge port was somewhere else as I can’t put a seat mount on the front handlebar as it stops me accessing them.
@DufАй бұрын
Yea charge port location SUCKS but yea it is a GREAT wheel and really fits my needs

Thats rough, especially to sell all wheels at once. Ive pretty much been a solo rider all my riding history, and I had moments I wanted to sell all my wheels but its too hard to give it up! I couldnt see myself ever not riding anymore, its just too useful to me atm, thankfully!
@DufАй бұрын
Yep if the wreck I had didn't get me to hang it up I don't think much will
@djwhiteflourАй бұрын
I wonder if him watching you go down really shook him? I think it is a high-skills-maintenance hobby, but so are all PEVs, some two wheeled ones just give you more of a sense of security.
@DufАй бұрын
I think he just got tired of riding alone
@ryangross5446Ай бұрын
I feel that, when you crash badly it does make you reconsider riding. Sad to hear but at the same time these wheels are not for everyone, just like any other extreme sport
@DufАй бұрын
Yep normal for people to come in and out of any hobby

#doublevision. This, of course, is only me, but I have never had the opportunity to ride my eboards with another rider. Now,that bothers me not a wit. I will also restate the obvious, I am me:) You mentioned an injury your friend suffered and is still recovering from. I was and am a baseball lover. However, a weight lifting injury to my throwing arm several decades ago and the years of recovery diminished my passion for the game. So, I get it.
@DufАй бұрын
Baseball is a great example for me. I LOVED baseball. I was a left handed pitcher that was scouted. I used to know most played on every team. Now, I never watch it nor hardly think about it
@curtflirt2Ай бұрын
EUC's are not for everybody, many people have come in and back out the hobby and guess what, THAT'S OKAY! We are all allowed to make choices in life.

Yo Duf! Bon Siman, Good Start of the week from Curacao. Question is there a place in Florida where you order your wheels from? I am an ex skater/ex xtreme sport guy and am interested i neither the Veteran Lynx or the Begode Master ....

I am thinking of an upgrade from my v12 ht. I joined a club and my fellow riders ride ex 30's, lynx, and other wheels that go so much faster than mine with suspension. I am not too far behind, but they do leave me in the dust sometimes. The patton came up on my radar... I am 5'8" and 140 pounds. How stable is the patton going fast? I tried my friends ex30 but it was so heavy. It was hard to get it moving. I wonder if I should go with a patton (another 16" wheel) or get a lynx or Sherman s to keep up. Your guidance would be appreciated. Ty ^_^
@DufАй бұрын
I have had my Patton into the mid 40's speed-wise and it has gotten me about 50 miles of range. At your size the Patton would obviously be easier to handle and as long as these people are not cruising 40+ all the time you will be able to keep up without an issue. I know where you can buy a nice used one....
@kwp7866619 күн бұрын
How do you change the over voltage chirp?
@Duf18 күн бұрын
You need to be on the non-original firmware. It then can be found on the menu options on the wheel where you set the over voltage number it chirps at. If you want no chirps, set it high.
@neptune._Ай бұрын
Maybe it was a crash that shook him or something, in my early days of riding when I wrecked I did have second thoughts of being in the wheel game, or the area not being wheel friendly can be a huge thinker too #DoubleVision

I don't think it was the crash, I think he just sort of got bored with it

With 2,000 miles, I'm sure he was a good rider. I solo ride 95% of the time. It is my preference. I have over 6,000 miles among my wheels. I think the only way I would give up on this hobby is if I had a really bad accident. Your friend can say, "I've been there and done that.". More power to him.
