Whether atheist, agnostic, secular, believer, church-goer or Christian, some of the most content women I have met do not worry about clothing style. They might have a personal choice of avoiding jeans, wearing only skirts or dresses, avoiding shorts or short skirts, dressing in black, wearing only natural fabrics but beyond that, they would give you a blank look if you were to ask her what is the current style.

How sad that you think females should not take care of others. I personally have a lot of respect for women that way. I have seen a female go from taking care of her younger brother, to choosing to become a mother at a young age, to taking care of the household to enable her mother to take a job that includes travelling out-of-town, to helping take care of her aging grandparents. Four generations living under one roof, and in case you haven’t already started hyperventilating, the best that could be said about them is occasional church goers. Oh, and the women wear things like pants and shorts.

If you listen to the Podcast here on KZbin "I pray you put this journal away" he describes how the Duggar house always smelled so bad. I'm not saying the Duggars are unclean people, I'm sure they're actually very clean but when you pack that many people into a small house, plus host church groups constantly ,there would be very little you could do about the smell. He described it as a "sweaty hands and feet smell."

No. They do know how to stretch a dollar. We've been living Duggar style for about 18 months. It actually works when you do your best to pay cash, buy used, save the difference, that sort of thing. Our son is in the public school but we still avoid getting caught up in the commercialism. It helps he was home schooled for three years. As far as leaving conception up to the Lord, I know some couples only have one or two children, or one-two adopted children.

I am curious how the Duggar Family can celebrate Xmas! I can imagine that going around and singing carols might be nice, and being given cookies or money from the molested listeners is fun, but I just want to know how Josh manages all of this? I read this bible statement here by another visitor and wanted to repeat it since it's about slavery: "In pain you shall bring forth children, yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you." GENESIS 3:16

That verse isnt speaking of slavery. It speak of a woman being there for her husband as that is the way marriage should be. It speaks of a "union" not of slavery. In some verses in the Bible the verse may appear to look like one meaning but it can have different meanings for that one verse like the verse you mention. It just says things in a different way that all. If you read the whole passage.. The paragraph or passage thats with the verse you will see what the verse really means.

Also Alicia it mentions pain during childbirth. Thats notslavery because in the chapter before the verse that your speaking of God clearly stated to Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of one particular tree and Adam and Eve deliberately disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit this action was mans first sin and God being the Heavenly Father wants to show us how he doesnt want "man" to deliberately sin so he punished Adam and Eve with the way God saw fit to do that by taking away all he promised Adam and giving Eve pain during childbirth. God didnt do this to mankind to "curse" us for sinning He loves all of us and thats proven in the Bible. God punished Adam and Eve just like a parent would punish a child. Asi would think that would be Gods way of proving his point but thats my opinion though That is how God saw fit to do it. I do not have all the answers. Youll have to search and ask questions and theres tons of ways to do that by your own Bible studies asking around at church o on the internet and make common sense judgements for whats true because sometimes what is said online isnt true you have to decipher it.. Education by whose standards? I recently say a former 90's star advertising for an online college and thought "Talk to the Duggar family about how high in esteem people hold accredited online colleges". As for commanding their daughters, some like to help out with the kids, some don't. That's been ongoing for centuries. And plenty of secular people teach their worldview is the only acceptable one.
