He did die. Star Wars Clone wars brought him back because of his Fame, franchise and money... same with Boba Fett btw... EDIT: The books about Boba were all written after the movies. Still it really sucks that, Darth Maul, Jango Fett and General Grievous all were introduced and killed in the very same movie with so little screen time or story behind them. All of them were quite interesting characters. They all should have got an own movie. Just like Boba vs. Han, Grievous vs. Rebellion (Mace, Anakin, Obi), Jango and the Mandalorian war, and Darth Maul and his rise and teachings from Sidious/palpatine/Emperor. A intense story with more dimensional characters would be so cool. The only characters we really got to know in Star Wars are Anakin and mabye Obi-Wan.

1) It's possible that Finn had heard of the Resistance, knew about the FO's origins, and was strong-willed enough to disagree with what they were doing. 2) He *was* trained to kill, so that's not far-fetched. When someone fires on you, you fire back or you die. It's self-preservation. When someone's innocent and unarmed, there's no moral justification for killing them. The laughing may have been because of nerves/adrenaline. 3) The FO knew BB-8 left Jakku with Finn and Rey; it's possible that transmissions reporting this were intercepted by the Res and Poe came back for that reason. 4) Finn was not just a janitor. He was a Stormtrooper with the FO Army, clearly under the rank of Corporal. Often, enlisted soldiers end up doing grunt work like cleaning. 5) Considering their size and wealth, I doubt the New Republic didn't know about the FO. It's more like, they hadn't done anything at the time to merit action against them. There are many factions in the galaxy that aren't necessarily good but clearly also weren't worth the NR's time. Why would the FO be any different? 6) Who knows. It's not impossible, but an explanation on this would be nice. For now, it's a plot hole. 7) Better than what/who? She's probably been using the Force since she was a small child and didn't realize it; but she definitely knows about it through legends, considering that she knows about Luke. 8) No one ever said she'd never flown *anything* before. She is clearly a very experienced pilot and mechanic, however, prior to TFA, she had never left Jakku and had never flown the Falcon. She's not better than Han, either. Clearly considering that she could barely stabilize the Falcon at first; her knowledge of the Falcom likely comes from having worked on it, as she knows about the compressor and the fuel pump that were installed after the Falcon was stolen from Han. That's it. 9) See #7. Having heard stories and now knowing that she can use the Force, I'm sure that trying that seemed like a good idea at the time to try it. It's not like things could have gotten worse if she'd failed. You can see that she does compose herself once the trooper is closer and she tries again. We already know she's extremely strong with the Force considering that she was able to resist Ren based on will alone, so that moment was a test of sorts to see if she could do it; she doesn't know that it's not something she shouldn't be able to do. And considering the previous scene, it definitely wasn't out of nowhere, considering that she was able to not only keep Ren out of her mind, but to push into his as well. 10) Ren is not a master of military strategy. He is irrational. For him, going in guns ablaze *is* the best way to do things. Ren is about brute force and unbridled emotion; going in cool, calm, and collected would be outside his character. When do you ever not see Ren do this? 11) Luke was afraid that talking about the Dark side would entice Ben to explore it more. Obviously, that backfired. And Ben didn't actually know that Vader was his grandfather until just before he left with Snoke. This was a choice made by Luke and Leia because of their esteemed positions; they didn't want people associating them with the Empire. 12) Luke didn't have any responsibilities to bail on after Ben destroyed his temple. Han should have stayed with Leia and the Res but he needed to deal with the loss of his son in his own way. People grieve differently. 13) Ren lived on Starkiller probably for quite a while, and Sith are known for using pain and strong negative emotion to enhance their power. 14) Yes. 15) Realistically, BB-8 is safer where Han could keep an eye on him. If they'd tried to hide him, he could've been found and stolen, or destroyed, and there was no way they were getting him quickly and quietly through that grate in the floor. 16) The FO literally blew up the entire Hosnian System and demolished the central HQ of the NR. Yeah, no one else wants to mess with that. You take out the head of the snake and the body dies with it. This is more like taking out the core countries of NATO and watching the rest of it fall. 17) For the speed/distance, I can't answer. It's a little outside my knowledge. I've made peace with it by considering that their technology is much different. I did find out that Starkiller Base is way out in the Unknown Regions and that the Hosnian System is across the core from them, so that would explain why the NR didn't know about Starkiller's construction. As for why not attack it, that likely would have been in violation of the Galactic Code, which... yeah, so's Starkiller, and pretty much everything else the FO is up to, but you don't run in and attack a faction you have very little intel on. You don't start a war without attempting to open communications. The NR is peaceful. The FO is not. 18) They had a recon squad out to survey Starkiller, and Finn lived and worked on Starkiller. Come on, dude. This was clearly answered in black and white in the movie. 19) Captain Phasma didn't suck at her job. She's actually super kickass in a lot of ways. It's just smart to do as you're told when you're outnumbered 3-1, and one of those three is a Wookiee. Like, no thanks, I choose life. Phasma knew she was screwed if she tried to fight back in that situation, so I see nothing wrong with her actions. 20) He may have had to leave the blaster or forgot it when he was getting ready to board the cargo ship so he could get to the outer rim. 21) This is a fantasy space opera, not an episode of Bill Nye. 22) By all rights, Leia should have hugged Chewie. I'm not sure why she didn't; even JJ Abrams stated that he wished he'd had Leia hug Chewie. From a character standpoint, maybe because Leia is Force-sensitive and could feel through Force Empathy (which is a thing, btw) that Rey needed support. Rey definitely recognized that Leia was affected by Han's death without ever having met her before. 23) I'm not sure if you've seen a map of the Star Wars galaxy, but it's massive; they didn't reuse any planets and just slap different names on them. 24) Luke was way out in the boonies with no way off the planet. Furthermore, he severed his connection with the Force, so he didn't even know Han was dead until Rey told him. He hardly *let* Han die. He just wasn't there. 25) Welcome to life. 26) I politely disagree. 27) When Ben left with Snoke after murdering his fellow classmates, I'm sure Han was a mess. There was no way he was going to be able to get Ben back, and he needed the time to grieve the loss. See #12. 28) Finn's not a pussy. He repeatedly puts himself in danger to do what he thinks is right, which is the opposite of being a pussy. 29) A pristine droid like that obviously belongs to someone. Rey gave BB-8 directions to keep him safe, probably considering that he had someone to go back to. 30) The weapon is what takes up so much space; I doubt the actual base itself is very big. The place where Rey was taken seems to be the most central part of the base, which of course is where the breaker room would also be. They just happened to be in the right place at the right time. 31) They were expecting FO, not smugglers, so I'm sure that there was a certain amount of confusion in that moment. 32) That's exactly *why* Ren is scary. Ren is unhinged. He's not cold and calm like Vader was. He could literally fly off the handle at any moment and kill someone just because. That whole "don't shoot the messenger" thing does not apply in Ren's logic. And he'd rather use the Force to drag his victim across the room so he can strangle them himself rather than keep them at a distance. Ren is absolutely terrifying *because* he's out of control and unpredictable. Vader was very much not that. As for killing Han, Ren was heavily under Snoke's influence; he had been convinced that by killing Han, it would help him gain power so that he could be as strong as Vader. The thing is, Ren was already there; he just needed to refine his skill. Snoke didn't want Ren to know how powerful he actually was, and spent much time mentally and physically abusing him so that Ren wouldn't question him. Think of the order to kill Han as a test of Ren's loyalty to Snoke, like, "If I say jump, you say how high." He knew it would tear Ren apart, he knew Ren was emotionally unstable, and he wanted that; because as soon as Ren realized what Snoke was doing, Ren would kill him. He was always far more powerful than Snoke, or Vader, ever were. Personally, he's my favourite character in the entire franchise for this. And he's not a villain: see #36. 33) Nostalgia? I personally didn't notice many OT references because I was actually watching the movie, not complaining the whole time. 34) Because. 35) The droids in Star Wars are sentient. It would be really fucked up to give them personalities and intelligence and then just go digging into their minds whenever. Besides morality, if the tech exists, why didn't they just fix him in the first place? Obviously this was not an option, likely *because* of how old R2 is. 36) In this case, you have to think of Ren as an antihero and the FO as the villain instead. Ren's not evil; he just thinks he's right. Obviously he's not, but after a troubled childhood with absentee parents and an uncle who literally was going to murder him, and then having Snoke abuse him heavily, he's very conflicted. It's this conflict that makes it so that Rey can beat him. Ren doesn't know what he wants, but Rey knows that she needs to protect Finn and protect the Res. 37) Just watch the movies and actually listen to what's going on instead of whining the whole time. A lot of the info was in the movie. I'm guessing you were too dead set on hating it period to even bother paying much attention. So, you're welcome, I guess. Force Awakens: The movie that actually makes you miss the prequels. Kylo Ren: An emo Vader knock off who you wonder if he's using a breathing mask because he's horrifically scarred... nope, just horrifically goofy ugly and literally fanboying over his own dead grandfather. Where the first trilogy gave us basic lightsabers and the subsequent prequel trilogy showed us the double-ended lightsaber, the third trilogy now gives us a three pronged lightsaber with a ventilation guard that should really just lop off the user's own hand, and only serves as the bane of random computer console terminals whenever he has a fit, just so you know which trilogy you're actually watching. Rey, otherwise known as MaRey Sue: Some random kid left on a near inhospitable Tattooine knock off somehow doesn't die as an abandoned child on planet Death Valley, manages to live off scavenging an apparent endless amount of Imperial fallout debris - which is amazingly not radioactive - to live off crappy bread and water. Who then deus ex machinas her way through a clunky script to be the hero no one with a functioning brain stem cares about. Finn: The obligatory black character to make you think this movie cares about diversity in conjunction with the poorly written female lead. His entire life has been spent raised under the oppressive regime of the New Order, yet he somehow still has a conscience and opts to leave it, as through some way or another he actually knows better than what should be the only life he's ever known. The trailers made you think he would be a Jedi masquerading as a Stormtrooper, but he ends up just carrying this movie along as Rey falls for the classic damsel tropes and serves as poor comic relief until he gets decommissioned and she's revealed to be the new Jedi, who apparently doesn't need training. Poe Dameron: Some ace that was given a last name to remind you he wasn't just Pilot #84 after Jar Jar Abrams developed homoerotic feelings for during production and halfassed the character back in without telling you how. A character who defines this new trilogy's lack of care for detail and its director's obsession with just x-winging it. Maz Kanata: Almost like Sofia Petrillo fused with Yoda into a boring, walking, talking expositional plot device who has somehow come into possession of Luke's saber, and is somehow considered a "pirate" despite just being shown operating a shady cantina yet also works with the rebellion while letting New Order spies in without bothering with a security check at the door to make sure she isn't compromising the people who she apparently assists. Snoke: Who gives a shit at this point? His premise sucks, his name sucks, his face sucks. Is he Plagueis, is he Palpatine, is he poorly conceived? It's easier not to waste time thinking about it since it'll likely be revealed in one of the next two films. General Hux: Some tool who actually openly questions the authority of the new Sith lord when that shit wouldn't have been permitted one bit during the actual Empire. He develops the Death Star 2.0, increasing the power from a smaller-than-a-moon space station to jerryrigging an entire planet, and still only manages to do the exact same thing the first one did, despite somehow being able to suck up the entire power of a star. Like many things in this new trilogy, attention to detail and imagination take the bench as an idiot who keeps getting a multi-million dollar paycheck each year proceeds with his rampant stupidity. With the remaining two films of this trilogy on the way within the next three years, one can only imagine how much they'll suck while all the offshoot one shot stories like Rogue One will continue to impress with genuinely good stories and concepts. Writhe in agony as feminists rally behind the continuation of Rey and her ability to ignore all logic while Jyn Erso - the genuinely good female lead - will never be seen again.

If it's not in the movies (the main point of this video), it's not relevant. Maul never returned in the sequels to episode 1 to fight the main characters again, so most people still think he's dead. Not saying the cartoons aren't canon or anything, but the point here is that he never showed up again in the sequels.

I was literally going to comment THAT EXACT THING! 1. The First Order came to power when the same corrupt senators in the Old Republic and the Imperial Senate came to power in the New Republic. The First Order then took control of much of the galaxy. 2. They didn't BUILD Starkiller Base, they turned it from a normal planet into their base. 3. the Millennium Falcon just so happens to be on the same planet that she is on. Han Solo just so happens to be flying by to lend fin and Rey a hand. The orange booger alien just so happens to to have Luke's old lightsaber. Han put the Millennium Falcon into hyper drive from the hanger bay of the larger ship that they are in. Rey knows how to use the jedi mind trick with no practice. Why did the one Stormtrooper dropped his Blaster to have a duel with fin using some cheap anti lightsaber baton. Honestly, Revenge of the Sith was better than this shit. This movie rode on the hype of Luke, Han, and Leia so hard. Kylo is pathetic and a child, Rey is Disney being feminist (which would be fine, if they didn't unrealistically allow her to defeat a guy who was trained in the ways of the force for years, by LUKE FUCKING SKYWALKER), Han's death was experienced by two people who have known him for 20 minutes (even Mark Hamill wanted a reunion with Han and Luke, with Luke being too late to save Han). Luke should've defeated Kylo, not Rey. I'd rather see the intensity of a fight between a master and his old apprentice than the bs we got.

Super Fantastic I apologize because I burst out laughing from reading this. I don't disagree that this is totally possible as an explanation; something the writers thought was clever or whatever. I just find it incredibly stupid. If they wanted to distance themselves from the failures they wouldn't have tried to make a THIRD Death Star. Considering how well the other two went. Like can you imagine that meeting? "Hey guys, we should really distance ourselves from previous fuck ups. Let's rebrand. Now, how's about we go build that third Death Star? This one will be BIGGER, and BADDER, it'll be able to blow up entire SOLAR SYSTEMS! It can't possibly fail! Because it's bigger!" Don't forget that it introduced absolutely no new ideas to the lore. The self aware 2016 humor that completely took you out of the universe. The First Order taking approximately 10 years to sortie after Poe and Finn steal a tie fighter. The alien scavenger that was trying to catch BB8 giving the droid to Rey just because she asked or something. Rey running up and attacking Finn because the droid she just met said he's wearing a jacket that kinda looks like the jacket of another guy she's never met. The unnecessary "don't grab my hand" moment just to reinforce that this is a strong independent female character that lacked any grace. The mcguffen is a map to Luke Skywalker plot which is just stupid as Luke Skywalker is a man not buried treasure with the ability to relocate himself at any given moment who stood by as the First Order rose to power and inexplicably built a death planet that apparently wiped out an entire solar system whom for all they knew Luke Skywalker could have been located in.I could go on but The Force Awakens was shitty fan fiction and it' annoying that whenever someone points out it's flaws they're called sexist and trolls, etc.

So you didn't mentioned theese LITTLE dumb things: - Han solo decelerate from light speed in a matter of meters - The starkiller base has the size of a planet but there are no guards or cameras so everyone goes around pretty much undisturbed and the good guys find Rey in a matter of seconds - The starkiller fires at a random republic planets and the explosions are seen instantly from another planet - ET's grandma somehow managed to recover Luke's lightsaber from a gas giant... a GAS GIANT! - Everyone in the movie seems able to use everything without practice from the Falcon to the lightsaber - So every other jedi has come to years of training but Rey needs only to know that the force exists to control others mind And I can go on to the infinite and beyond! This movie is trash on so many levels!

Justo Manuel Pavía Benítez I never really believed that Luke was stronger in the force than Vader. Anakin was able to use the force when he was young (podracing). Luke could do nothing. The way I see it and always have, is that Luke is stronger in the dark side than Vader and Rey. I think this because Anakin and Rey both are able to utilize the light side of the force without training. Luke did. However, when Anakin turned to the dark side, he was arrogant and over confident when tackling Obi-Wan. He clearly wasn't trained enough in the ways of the dark side. Rey hasn't gone near the dark side yet (if ever) so I can't say anything about that. But look at Luke. In episode 6, when fighting Vader, he uses his anger and taps into the dark side. He defeats the greatest Sith Warrior ever known. He is clearly stronger in the dark side than his father. However, he chooses to remain on the light side. I hope this makes sense. What I'm saying overall is that Luke needed training because he was stronger in the dark than the light.

The argument TFA lovers say is that Kylo just killed his dad and was shot in the stomach. This is why that does not make sense: 1. As shown earlier, when he is emotional, he goes crazy and destroys everything. 2. He has seen tons of people slaughtered before, and considering how emotional he has been in the past, this should not have impacted him that much. 3. This does not make you the worst fighter in the history of the universe, and does not make you void of common sense. 4. If he has this level of emotional breakdown, why was he even chosen in the first place? 5. Darth Maul got his legs cut off and he still survived. He got shot and he can't fight. 10/10 logic right there. 6. He rebelled against Luke and his parents before, almost killing them. It didn't impact him then, so why now? 7. This video is pretty bad considering there are hundreds of other things this movie did wrong that hasn't been explain. Like Kylo Ren being able to stop a blaster bolt and freeze somebody like a stone even though Yoda or Sidious never did anything like that, on top of him being able to read your thoughts by touching you. We definitely need a new desert planet that is a really flavorless and uninteresting ripoff of Tatooine. And the Death Star was very cool so let's make it bigger. While we're at it, let's rename the Empire to the First Order for no reason at all and the Rebels to the Resistance because this movie is supposed to stand out from the rest of the series because Star Wars is totally known for no continuity right? Rogue One is 10x the movie this is and connected to the universe in a way this one couldn't. Sloppy writing, poor explanations and the worst lightsaber duel to come out of the series so far (yes even worse than the general grievous one that lasted 2 seconds), and not to forget the really crappy new score they tried to dub over the classic Star Wars sounds we've come to know love and appreciate over the 6 films (3 unless you're an actual SW fan). We wait thirty years for Han Leia and Luke to reuinte with Chewy all together and we get one literal cliffhanger with Mark for about half a second and Leia with the worst acting performance ever, seemed robotic. Threepio was more annoying than ever and R2D2 literally was useless. This is really the best they could have come up with for a movie set 30 years later? So han is killed, the father figure for the hero's or should I say uncle figure. Wonder what happened to Lukes uncle. In fact that is most of the film. I can't remember what else but I know there is more and if you still can't see how unoriginal, how TFM is such a blatant ripoff the original films then you do have blinkered goggles on. But one of the worst failings of the film isn't how despite the money and time they had to make the film the best they could come up with was a poor rehash of a new hope but how with all that money there was no scale to the film. The universe seemed unpopulated. Every scene appeared lacking in scope to the point that the mos eisley scene for instance came across as an empty planet with one cafe on it. A new hope was made on a tiny budget but you believed the universe it present was that, a universe. One that was varied and had more scope beyond what that budget should've allowed. TFM was a failure for a star wars film which came across like generic scifi film wrapped in star wars pajamas. If it didn't have the star wars label it would've flopped with viewers, critics and financially.

+TheReivenlocke Obviously Maz was waiting patiently beneath Lando's Cloud City, knowing Luke would eventually drop his saber so she could quickly scoop it up and later pass it onto Rey later on. Bespin's atmosphere is comprised mostly of oxygen, so Maz just waited in a type of flying convertible with the top down (like what Obi Wan and Anakin drove while chasing Zam the bounty hunter on Coruscant), so the light saber just dropped neatly into her passenger seat and she sped away with it. To be fair, the fact that the lightsaber turned up again isn't all that crazy. In the old Expanded Universe, which is no longer canon, it was found by a maintenance drone lodged in an air shaft, which is feasible and I could see a similar explanation for how it was recovered in the new continuity. The only thing that bugged me was that cheeky handwave Maz gave about how she had it, and I hope that *does* get explained in a future film, even if it's just a brief few sentences. I love The Force Awakens but critics are not wrong: There *are* some elements that aren't explained very well. Not counting elements that will (or at least better) be explained in future films.

Alright so Kylo has had YEARS of training from luke and Snoke (2 all powerful force beings) How?! Can Rey defeat him that easily?! Plus she didn't need to win neither. She should have lost at least, and Kylo about to end her would be shot by chewbacca again (just for good measure) and as kylo falls to the ground past out. Chewie grabs Finn and Rey and ecapes. This would make Kylo seem more threatening but also show how hurt Chewbacca really was he lost his best friend. Plus it makes way more sense! Unless if there's a good reason why Rey is able to defeat Kylo (like being related to Palpatine or possessed by past jedi) other then those, this entire lightsaber dual was kinda disappointing.

There was a good video on this point, but it doesn't excuse the other gleaming failures with this movie. The only reason that, as the video stated, Rey beat Kylo so easily is because right after Kylo killed Han Chewy shot him with his crossbow. As we've seen in the past and present movies Chewys crossbow is extremely powerful, which would mean since he shot Kylo in the gut it would've done massive damage to him. But back to thw "how did Rey beat Kylo question", since the laser bolt that hit Kylo was so powerful he was likely channeling all the force power he could to keep his guts intact, and likely keep himself standing. So maybe that wouldve given Rey a huge advantage but, it still doesn't tell us how the fuck she picked up the lightsaber using the Force she's never been trained to use.

Patrick Brundige in fairness, Luke was never trained in the force when he did the same thing in the wampa cave. The only "training" he had was 30 seconds on the Falcon where Obi-wan explained what the force was. One thing I didn't forgive: The map. So, during all the lenght of the film, the reason they didn't know Luke Skywalker's whereabouts was because someone just cut out that piece of the map? Couldn't they just send a couple of exploration teams to look on that missing part of the map? Couldn't they just go and look for another map on any other data from another computer or ask someone something like "hey guys, has any of you traveled there before? Do you know what planets or systems are located there?" It would have been better to have shown a full map, without missing puzzle pieces, just let R2 plug in it and then a small flashing dot appear in the map, but it seems that the script was created by an elementary kid.

The reason she was able to beat kylo ren was A) He had just been shot by Chewys crossbow which throughout the film established to be a devastating weapon. B) Ren had just killed his father and was clearly feeling conflicted about it and the whole light or dark side thing. and C) Ren was not trying to kill Rey rather capture and convince her to join him as Snoke ordered, hence all the lines of dialogue with him saying he could teach her and to top it off she is a force sensitive scavenger who had to learn to defend herself from a young age is it isn't like she had no clue how to fight hand to hand. Notice in her fight she isn't owning him left right and centre rather running away striking a few times then running. Despite being shot ren was on the offensive for much of the fight

Here's what the first order is. The rebellion didn't destroy the empire, they made a big dent only as big as what the first Death Star destructions victory did, plus with the death of Palpatine and Vader, the empire just took new leadership. After that, the rebellion took over coruscant and established the new republic, but the rebellion barely gained any advantage over the empire, and the empire was still a huge threat. Then the new republic made a victory on Jakku and made the empire surrender. The new republic made a treaty that they would stop hostilities if the empire disbanded their military, outlawed torture and slavery, and some other things to fit the republic agenda. The empire agreed and they were just a normal government. But the first order, which was a large majority of the empire wanted to continue the empires agenda, so in secret they took the empires military and sent it into the unknown regions to grow stronger and stronger

I believe at that time, the republic disbanded their military, and Luke made the new Jedi order so that they wouldn't serve under the republic. And when the first order was discovered and moved into known space, they paid off politicians to convince the republic that the first order was not a threat. The first order sought to rule the Galaxy as the empire did, and since the republic would not fight, Leia and other members of the republic senate broke off and formed the resistance, who would fight off the first order. Snoke and first order leaders would convince the Galaxy that they did nothing wrong and that the republic supported a new terrorist group called the resistance to attack the innocent first order. I haven't read aftermath but I don't believe the new republic is the rebellion. It's the galactic senate. The senate never died, they were just subjugated by Palpatine. The senate/republic started recovering, and the resistance is mostly the remnants of the rebellion.

I'll start the list off with the lack of memorable motifs. John Williams slept on TFA, and that really hurt my soul. I mean, the technical mastery is there but the score lacks the Star Wars spirit. If you want a point of reference, listen to Episode III's soundtrack and TFA's back to back. Hell, even listen to Rogue One. TLDR: the music was generic for Star Wars' standards.

TFA was just fun flick. I watched it once in the cinema, another time on my TV and I absolutely feel no desire to watch it again. I watched R1 twice in cinema already and I need that blu-ray disc as soon as it's possible. There's just a whole lot of original stuff - new ships, new planets, original characters. On top of that things feel epic even if they're not required to be. Jedha having a Star Destroyer above it feels menacing. Everything about Scarif is great too - the space battle and the beaches. This is the second time when the bad guys get their shit together and do something. TFA felt like it had nothing of that. Battles were always on the small scale and I couldn't grasp the scale of the environments either - Jakku had one tiny village and a market that didn't even have solid buildings, Takodana was Maz's castle and that's all. Resistance base and Starkiller were just military installations so that's that. Even Rogue One's Eadu had a base, a shuttle depot, TIE hangars and turbolasers all over it, so it actually looked like something that could work. Jedha was amazing, end of story. Scarif needs no explanation either - that base felt massive like nothing before it.

the point is, the Dark Side makes people crazy, AND powerful. Because of modern moral relativism in the 90s, people tried to change that, with the whole "Balance" thing. But when the movies came out in the 80s, that was it.The Dark Side is an easy, powerful and corrupting practice, which is why the Jedi don't use it. Not because it's "evil", but because it makes you crazy. Now a horde Of people will tell you otherwise, using a lot of examples, but if you look it up you'll see that every examples ended up crazy or were playable characters from videogames. But if you'll just look at the facts, without letting what you would like the universe to be obscure your judgement, you'll see.

The Empire was simply trying to achieve absolute power. So why did people allow for it to happen? It was explained a little in the prequel trilogy. Apparently the wars being dragged out with serpetists was causing enough of an outcry that the people felt that giving Senator Palpatine emergency powers might actually fix things. Then Palpatine made up a story, claiming that the Jedi tried to assassinate him. This now gave him justification to hunt down any Jedi who could be a potential threat. However, all of this time the Senate supposedly still had final says, and supposedly Palpatine didn't have absolute power. This wasn't true though. The Senate didn't actually have any power. They only still existed because Palpatine didn't want to appear as power hungry. Disbanding the Senate would raise some eyebrows. But by the time the original trilogy takes place, we're told that the Senate was officially disbanded, the Emperor now having absolute power. We can assume that the First Order has the same motives as the Empire had- Again, that is to say absolute power.

Someone asked this at a SW panel and the answer was: They commandeer a *Special Forces* TIE. Along with a second gunner seat, the Special Forces version has deflectors (shields), something regular TIEs don't have. So the Stormtroopers *are* hitting the TIE/SF, they simply aren't harming it due to the fact that they're carrying hand weapons with nowhere near the power to get through the deflectors. Apparently during some of the later battles in the movie, a couple TIE/SFs take a few shots from the X-Wings before exploding-- unlike standard TIEs which explode on the first hit.

John Doe there are several issues with the starkiller base imo. It's yet another compromised deathstar but, wait for it, bigger. Firing at several planet's at once makes no sense. And the biggest issue I have is a scientific one. If you drain all the energy from a sun, as sk does which is ridiculous in itself, ALL life in the system reliant on it will perish.

The fact Kylo Ren, who underwent Jedi AND Sith training, AND was related to the most powerful jedi to ever exist.....lost to someone who has not a sliver of training as a jedi. Sure she has fought to survive as a scavenger, but it is EXTREMELY hard to master a lightsaber. That vs. years of training, yeah I'm callin' bull You can pull the card that he was injured, but that still surely isn't enough to stop Ren....
